Saturday
What
an odd day today was. Mum wasn't very well and spent the
afternoon in bed, I spent it lying by her side and keeping
warm in the duvet. In the evening mum came downstairs
and lay on the sofa, she spent a lot of time with her
head in a bucket being sick. I have never seen her, or
anyone else do this. The first time I put my head in the
bucket after to see what was in there, THAT
was a mistake and I won't be doing that again! Dad spent
the evening playing with me as mum wasn't in the mood.
Sunday
Mum was still ill, so dad played with me most of the afternoon.
Late afternoon the last of the stuff from the kitchen
made it's way into my room. This is really odd, I don't
understand what is happening. My room is getting very
crowded, where do they expect me to sleep?
Monday
Strange men in the house….
Ah,
I see why the kitchen is being emptied into my room. There
are people in our kitchen putting tiles on the walls.
The kitchen is out of bounds for me at the minute. My
food and litter tray are now in the living room, which
makes in confusing at tea time. My biscuits rattle and
I run straight to where my bowl used to be, but mum was
filling it in the lounge. It took me a while to realise
my food was in the other room!
Wednesday
No, this is not fair.
Not only are all the items from the unit tops in my room,
but now I also have the cooker, fridge, washing machine
and tumble dryer in there as well. There isn't room to
swing a cat in there now.. not that swinging a cat is
a good idea, but it would have to be a tiny kitten to
fit in there now. There is barely enough room for a person
to walk through never mind a cat to sleep in there. This
better not be a permanent feature.
Thursday
Ok, fair enough.
My
room is now back to normal and everything is now back
in the kitchen as it is all finished. I went in for a
look this morning and I was shocked. The floor was cold
as it is now tiled. I wasn't expecting it and it made
my paws so cold. I had to lift them up quickly as they
were freezing, mum was watching me and laughing, saying
that I looked like a dancing horse lifting my feet up
so high. I'm sure I will get used to it, but for now I
will stay in the rooms with carpet on the floor.
Mum and dad were upstairs on the computer this evening
and I managed to run outside when the milkman came for
his money. It was cold and raining though and I soon realised
it was much better to be inside than outside. The door
had been shut again though and no-one heard me miaow to
be let inside. Then I had a brain wave. When mum is inside
and the doorbell rings, she goes to open the door. I decided
to jump onto the porch windowsill, and push the doorbell
with my head. Sure enough, she came down and opened the
door, although she did think that dad had heard things
when he told her the doorbell had just rang and I was
stood there and no human. I don't think that she thought
it was me that rang the bell.
Saturday
Dad was out all day and I spent the day playing with mum.
There was a delivery today and I was quite intrigued,
I think it was for me. When dad came back in the evening
they opened it. I gave them my help opening the box as
I always do when a delivery comes. It was for me, joy
of joys… I did run outside when the door was opened to
try my doorbell trick again. This time mum was still in
the lounge and she saw me. I jumped onto the porch windowsill
and pushed my head against the doorbell until she came
and let me in. She was very surprised that I have learnt
to do this, and told dad "It had to be seen to be believed!"
Last week mum was looking at a cat toy on the internet
called the Panic
Mouse, I was watching the video clip of it in
action and it looked amazing. I was pawing the screen
trying to tell her that I wanted one of those for Christmas
and she must have understood as when she opened the box,
there was my panic mouse. I was so eager to play that
I helped her to assemble it, and was jumping and pouncing
on the mouse before it was even turned on! I had a fantastic
night playing with the toy. It was wonderful, every cat
should have one.
Click
on the mouse icon to see the panic mouse and to buy. Make
sure you scroll down the page on the website to see Jack's
picture at the bottom. Not only is he featured here, on
his own website, but he now has his picture on the Firebox
website as well!

Sunday
I spent the entire day playing with my panic
mouse. I went up to it to play, but it wasn't turned
on, so I miaowed at mum until she turned it on. You can
play when it is turned off, but it's better when on as
the mouse moves of it's own accord. I love this toy.
Tuesday
Haven't
done much the last few days as I have spent the entire
time playing with my Panic
Mouse. I love it. It's wonderful. I know it was a
Christmas present, but they gave it to me early. I hope
I still get a present to open at Christmas.
Thursday
I haven't seen the squirrel for a while until today. It
was eating nuts from the flowerbed where mum leaves them.
I was inside and shouting at it from behind the windows.
I don't think he heard me though as he didn't even move.
Even the birds were still sat on the feeder, so I must
be losing the loudness from my shout!
