Monday
Mum
went out this afternoon and I got to play in the house
all on my own. I ate some of the soil in the flower pots
on the windowsill and then played with the rest of the
soil that I had knocked out on the sofa. I made a nice
pattern over the seats, but that was soon cleared up when
she got home. I don't think she wants me to make soil
pictures on the furniture again!
The
house was nice and warm today though as the tumble dryer
was on for a while so I curled up at the base of the dryer
and fell asleep with a warm side. These household appliances
are really good for constant heat sources in the winter!
Tuesday
Mum and dad went out tonight and came back really late.
I was again tricked into being locked in my room with
the biscuit trick. I know I said in the last diary I would
not be so gullible again, but I failed and fell for the
trick first time. I made sure that all the cat litter
was out of my tray and they had loads of cleaning up to
do when they got back home!
Wednesday
Dad was off work today as he was not well. I got cuddles
all day from both mum and dad, so that was really cool.
They bought a new playstation game this afternoon so in
the evening I was sort of ignored as they got engrossed
in the new game. I decided, if you can't beat them join
them and sat in front of the TV watching the snowboard
do its tricks. If you sit quite close to the TV it fills
your whole vision and you think you are really there.
It was quite cool until I wanted to walk away and I started
swaying as I was so dizzy from watching the game. Not
a good thing!
Friday
Dad is still off, which is really cool. I showed him how
I climb trees today. He was watching the squirrel in the
garden and I managed to get outside, I climbed up the
big trees at the back of the house and sat there watching
the birds with interest. I soon noticed however that they
never land in the tree I am sat in, they always go to
a nearby tree. I can't run over the thin branches so they
know I can't get to them. Quite fustrating, but its closer
than being inside and watching them.
I saw that mouse again today that lives in the flowerbed.
I was playing "chase" with it on the back
garden when mum noticed. She came outside and picked me
up and locked me in the house, while she picked up the
mouse and moved him out of our garden to a safer area.
I think that this was a really nasty thing to do. I've
been watching this mouse for months, she can't move its
house now.. that's so unfair!
Saturday
Nick came today - he comes to our house most Saturdays
and I get to play with him. Today the 3 of them were in
the office and looking at my website and doing the quizzes.
I think they are showing Nick how to use the internet
safely. Not being wanted, and feeling left out of the
action I had to try and divert their attention from the
greedy computer. This I managed by sitting on the desk
in front of nick (who was at the keyboard). He is only
11 and not big enough to see around me, so he had to play
with me until I decided to move. Quite a clever idea I
thought! After that I had a climb over the printer, onto
the bookshelves behind. Nothing on the bookshelf grabbed
my interest but I did notice how close I was to the top
of the door. I haven't been on top of the door for ages,
and I just couldn't resist showing my party piece off
to Nick. I jumped on top of the doorframe and sat there
for a while. I also have a bit of a cold and I sneezed
whilst on top of the door and nearly fell off! The door
moved when I sneezed and took me by surprise. I was left
there, hanging on for dear life with a wet, runny nose!
It's not very clean though and I had white streaks of
dust on my fur which gave me go faster stripes! I soon
got bored though and had a roll around on the bed to remove
the dust from my fur!

Sunday
Pigeon for tea.. pigeon for tea ….
I
caught a pigeon today. I was so pleased with myself. After
spreading the feathers over most of the back garden I
ran to the window to get mum and dad's attention. They
were not too happy with me, as they don't like me killing
other animal species. Again, I was locked inside while
it was cleaned away. As soon as I could I ran outside
to see what they had done, and it had gone. I'd only had
a nibble as well, not enough to make me full and it was
supposed to be for my tea. I was not happy with either
of them and didn't give them any loves or cuddles for
the rest of the day.
Something odd is going on in our house again. Everything
from the units in the kitchen has moved into my room and
the kitchen was empty. I don't know why, I will have to
wait and see. It's a bit annoying though, as the dining
room is MY room and not the kitchen and
I want my space back.
Tuesday
Well,
nothing has happened in the kitchen and now most of the
stuff is out of my room and back in it's usual place.
How odd. I heard mum on the phone though as she was not
happy, I think something was being done in the kitchen
but the workmen didn't turn up. I'm happy though as at
least I have my room back now. There are still a few things
left on the dining table but I still have room to play,
which is OK.
A
friend came this afternoon. He comes round about twice
a year and he always gives me cuddles. As soon as he came
I ran outside, I had been waiting by the door all day
for an opportunity to escape and as soon as the doorbell
rang, I knew that opportunity had arrived. Mum and dad
were sat there talking to their guest when I arrived back
home an hour or so later. I jumped on the bin (in front
of the window) and rapped on the window with my paw (my
usual way of asking to be let in). They all turned round
to see me, and there I was, proudly stood on the bin with
a mouse in my mouth. They wouldn't let me in though, so
I made sure that their guest could see me while I played
with the mouse whilst balancing on the top of the bin.
I'm so skilled! Anyway, they didn't let me in for ages,
I think they were a bit annoyed with me. Just before our
guest left dad went out to clean up the mouse and I ran
inside then… I had had my starter so I wasn't too hungry,
which is most unlike me.
Wednesday
Mum
came in this afternoon smelling of a very distinctive
smell. I KNOW she had been to our vets.
I don't understand though, as normally she takes me to
the vets. How odd. She did come back with a big bag of
cat food though, so I guess she went for that. I hope
she doesn't take me as well in the next few days. I'm
still sneezing, but I really don't want a thermometer
up my bottom. I will have to make sure that no-one hears
me sneeze for the next few days just to make sure!
Friday
Here
we go again. Everything out of the kitchen into my room.
There has to be a reason for this odd human behaviour.
At the moment I am at a complete loss as to what that
exact reason is though. I will let you know in the next
diary.
Not
much else has happened today, very quiet. Its rained the
last few days and I have spent them playing with fishy
and sleeping. The best way to spend winter days.
