Monday
I
have had a short break this weekend. Mum and dad went
away for the weekend to watch the British Grand Prix and
I stayed at the vets in the isolation ward. I can't go
to a cattery because of the FIV, and I have to board at
the isolation unit at our vets. I was so pleased to hear
their car this afternoon when they came to pick me up.
I thought they had left me there for good. I shared the
unit with a baby kitten and a dog….. how thoughtless of
them to have a mixed isolation ward. No cat wants to be
in a cage next to a big dog, that's just cruel.
When
we got home I got some more of those awful diet biscuits.
I won't be on them much longer though. 3 weeks ago I weighed
6.4kg and now I weigh 4.6kg. I need to be between 4 -
4.5Kg so I am nearly there.
Mum and dad went out again this evening and left me shut
in my room. While they were out I needed to go to the
toilet for a poo and left a steamer in the litter tray.
I didn't go when I was at the vets, there is nothing like
your own litter tray! They came home with fish and chips
for tea and were not too happy to have to clear the litter
tray before their tea… the joys of having a cat huh??
Tuesday
It's
my BIRTHDAY!
I'm 3 years old today….
This
afternoon I managed to get outside from the open window,
onto the garage roof and off into the great outdoors.
I caught a robin and brought it back for mum and dad.
They saw me coming across the garden with it, and dad
stopped me from getting inside. As he was standing in
front of the door, I changed my grip on the robin and
it flew off… another nice meal escapes….. not much of
a birthday treat !
Spent
the rest of the day sleeping and playing and I had a special
tea of Hi-Life kitty tuna flakes. What a treat…. If you
can't break a diet on your birthday then when can you?
I tucked into them with haste, before she changed her
mind and gave me diet stuff again. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm tuna….
I went to sleep dreaming of tuna flavoured treats in bird
shapes!

Thursday
Had a quiet week since my birthday. Mum and dad have been
at home in the day and I have spent the time playing with
Fishy and sleeping. I am on more food now that I am nearly
down to my target weight, so I am not so hungry all the
time.
Sunday
A quiet weekend spent in the house. I was a bit ill with
a bad stomach on Friday so mum and dad kept me in to see
if I was OK. I wasn't ill over the weekend but the emissions
from my bottom stink… I seem to have changed my body clock
cycle since I have been in the vets over the last weekend.
Now I seem to want to go for a large toilet job whilst
mum and dad are having their tea. I have done this every
night and they are not happy with me. As I mentioned before
my bottom smells and you can't eat your tea with a smell
like that lurking across the room….. you just HAVE
to get up and clean the litter tray. I can't help it though,
I know it's not nice but you can't hold it in, that's
dangerous!
Monday
I got a shock today. Mum went to see a friend in the street,
where Henry lives. I often follow her here and I sit on
her knee whilst she talks to her friend… I wandered in
the house today as Henry darted past me to go outside..
as I walked across the kitchen something small and white
met me head on…. It took me a few seconds to realise that
I was face to face with a DOG… Yes, a DOG!
When did that thing arrive? I quickly did an about turn
and ran out of the house… thinking I may have gone in
the wrong house (it could happen…) I made sure it was
Henry's house and then tried again… once more the dog
met me in the kitchen…. I was not impressed… After having
a quick chat with Henry (who was sat in the back yard..)
yes, it's a dog and it arrived yesterday, and, he is not
happy with it either. We are starting a "cats against
the dog league"! I went inside and sat so close to mum
that there was not an inch of space between us… until
the dog muscled in the gap and pushed me to the side…
Bah! Little fluffy thing getting my attention. I don't
think I'll be following mum there any more.
Wednesday
Did you know that a toy company in Japan called "Takara"
have developed a translator from cat to English? About
time too…. Finally my demands for food can be understood
and I don't get a stupid cuddle when I want the toilet,
or something substantial to eat. The product is called
the "Meowlingual" and is reported to be on the market
by November this year. Keep an eye out for it, I am going
to so mum and dad can give me what I want and not a best
guess solution. Spent the day asleep on the bed dreaming
of a world where my demands were understood and I was
the King of everything…… I'm not power mad, just slightly
insane!
Thursday
The cleaner arrived again today and I was still as scared
of her as I was the other week. I don't like people I
don't know working in my house. Especially when she tidies
my bedroom, that's mums job. I jumped out of the office
window and into the street to get away from her. Then
I ran into Henry and he was out in the street to get away
from the dog. The dog can't leave the house yet, so the
street is a safe place.
Friday
Mum made me a bed for my bedroom and a bed for the living
room ages ago. I use the bed in my bedroom every night
but lately I haven't used the bed in the living room.
Last night I rediscovered the bed in the living room and
spent the entire night kneading it, sucking it and sleeping
on it.
