Saturday
What an exciting day. When mum came down this morning
Henry was in our garden and he was playing with the bird
feeder. He was sat on the wall trying to get the lid of
the feeder and get at the nuts inside. When mum cleaned
my litter tray I managed to escape to play with Henry
and the bird feeder. When I got closer, I saw why he was
trying to get the lid off, there was a mouse inside it.
I think the mouse had got in to eat some nuts, but had
eaten so many that he was too fat to get back out and
he was stuck in the feeder. After a while mum and dad
came for a look and they saw the mouse inside. They locked
me in the house and mum emptied the feeder onto the patio
to let the mouse escape. They thought he would run away
but when he got out, he stopped to eat more nuts! He ran
off before they let me out of the house though.

Wednesday
Mum
got my blood test results back today. I am still shedding
FIV, so I will be infectious to other cats. It has not
got worse though, so I am not more ill… still the same
level of infection. I am going to the toilet again now
so they are not as worried about me as they were.
Thursday
Loads of boxes were delivered today and I tried to get
inside but they were all sealed. I will have to wait until
they are opened to see what is inside. They are big boxes
though, wonder what they hold.
Friday
The
boxes are open…. Loads of hidey holes for me to play in!
They contained a new computer for mum and dad. They spent
the evening sat on the floor in the lounge with a screwdriver
building their PC. I kept trying to jump into the computer
tin, but they kept pushing me out. I guess it's not the
place for a cat to sleep! I don't want to damage their
new computer. They finally finished putting all the bits
in late this evening, but I was fast asleep in the biggest
cardboard box and had lost interest in following their
progress.
Saturday
Another
new toy and box came into the house today. They have now
got a new digital video camera. I was playing with the
box, and they were filming me. Another shiny thing that
they point at me and expect me to play in front of. I
don't perform to order you know! They spent ages filming
me tonight, but I never get to see what they record, it's
the same with the digital camera… so expect some video
films in the following diary entries.
Sunday
Mum and dad watched the Grand Prix this afternoon whilst
I wandered between the many boxes in the front room, trying
to decide which would be best to sleep in. I finally made
my decision, jumped into the smallest box, and curled
up. With the sound of the racing cars I could not get
to sleep, so I went up to their bed. When the race finished
they both went up to the office and worked on their new
computer. I felt very left out as Sunday is usually my
time for play and I was left all alone. I went into the
office and tried to help but I wasn't needed so I fell
asleep on mum's knee.
Monday
Bank
Holiday
Dad was off work today as it was a Bank Holiday and they
were on the new PC AGAIN. Both the windows
in the office were open and I jumped out onto the garage
roof. Normally when I do this I howl as I get stuck on
the roof. Sometimes I jump down, but I prefer the soft
landing of someone's arms, rather than the path. Today
I learnt that I can jump back into the office from the
garage roof. What a cool idea, I'd never thought of that
before but it's a good way of getting back in the house.
Whilst I was on the roof I noticed a number of birds making
their way into the guttering of the house. I watched them
for a while before I decided to try and jump onto the
roof of the house from the garage. I lined up the jump
and went for it, but I wasn't quite high enough and I
slammed into the wall and fell back onto the garage roof.
I didn't try it again.
Tuesday
Mum was at home today and dad was back at work. I played
in the lounge for ages and then realised that many windows
were open upstairs and I went for a look. I soon jumped
out onto the roof and went for an explore outside. I cannot
yet jump onto the garage from the path, so I sat outside
the front door until dad let me in later. It's a cool
life being a cat.
