Saturday
You know cats are famous for their mad half hours? Well,
tonight I had a mad 2 hours. Boy was I shattered at the
end of it. Mum and dad were watching TV and they had bought
me some more new toys. I spent ages running around under
their bed, under the rug in the bedroom and up and down
the stairs. It was so much better than watching TV. I
had such fun, and they were laughing at me so I kept them
entertained as well. A cool night.
Monday
Uh oh!
Mum
tried to trick me today. I was sat in the windowsill and
I saw her bring the cat basket into the porch. Later this
afternoon she tried to catch me, but I KNEW
it was to be put in the basket so I ran around the house
trying to get away. I hid in the cupboard behind the TV
for over an hour. I heard her call the vet and cancel
my appointment, so I came out after a while. What I didn't
hear however, was her making a later appointment. I was
well and truly tricked and found myself in the basket
on the way to the vets.
At the vets, I made my displeasure very evident. I don't
want to be here! I growled and hissed at mum and the vet
throughout the checkup and even bit the vet when he tried
to cut my claws. I wriggled a lot so I was difficult to
hold and made sure both mum and the vet were generously
covered in scratches before I had finished. I jumped into
the carrier, thinking it was all over and a nurse took
me into the back and took blood. She was nice and gentle
and I sat there purring as they shaved my neck and took
blood samples. Mum and the vet were shocked when the nurse
told them how good I had been whilst they took the blood.
I wonder what they are testing for?
Wednesday
I
found out today what they were blood testing for. I haven't
been for a poo for a while, and I am very lethargic lately.
They tested my liver, kidney's and heart to check I was
OK, and also a blood profile to see if the FIV has progressed.
My liver and other internal organs are all OK, so just
have to wait until next week to see if the FIV has moved
into the next stage. I hope it hasn't.
Mum fell badly today and was sat in the garden and didn't
move much all afternoon. I pushed my way under the blanket
she was sat on and fell asleep touching her, so I would
help her feel better. I got frequent cuddles and lots
of attention, so I think that we both felt a bit better
by the end of the afternoon.
Friday
Good
Friday
Dad
was off today and they were both sat in the garden for
a while. They let me out and I played in the garden for
ages. I have learnt now that if I try get out of the garden,
they catch me and lock me inside so I just play around
the garden and the back wall. Dad tied my fluffy spider
on the clothes airer and we played "Bat The Spider"
for an hour or so. It was good fun. I also brought my
squidgy ball out and played fetch for a while.
Saturday
A whole day inside today. It was nice and sunny and I
wanted to go out, but no matter how much I howled, the
door did not open. It's mating season for cats, I NEED
to go outside! All these other cats are coming into our
garden and leaving their scent and I can't get outside,
the lady cats will not know that I live here if I can't
get out to scent the garden.
Sunday
I found a cool game today. The window in the lounge was
open this afternoon, this is an easy window to jump out
of as it's on the ground floor. I jumped out of the window
and then ran around the side of the house and came back
inside through the French windows. I stopped briefly for
a cuddle from either mum or dad and then I would repeat
the whole procedure again. What an excellent game. I did
this for over an hour, until I found that the window had
been shut…
Monday
Easter
Monday
Dad was at home today and they watched DVD's all day.
I was so bored, I fell asleep on their bed for most of
the day. In the evening I played fetch with mum.
I am so hungry. Since I went to the vet last week my food
has been cut. Mum found out that she was feeding me too
much so she is reducing my allowance slowly until I am
on the right amount. I am starving. I keep hinting by
pushing my face against the food packet, but that just
makes me hungrier as I can smell the food more strongly.
Even if I sit with me head on the packet she doesn't feed
me any more, but you can't blame a cat for trying can
you?
Tuesday
Dad has gone back to work today and mum has been on the
PC, like usual. I am so bored. I have seen Henry playing
in the street, but I can't get out to play with him. I
will wait until she is not looking and jump out of a window.
Thursday A lady came this afternoon and I thought I was
going to get lots of cuddles, but the lady and mum went
on the PC ALL afternoon. When dad came home
from work I managed to escape for a while (I've been inside
all week).
There
was some good news though, I went to the toilet. I was
outside when I needed to go, so I left a big poo in the
middle of the front garden. I know I'm not supposed to
do it there, but I was desperate!
Friday
The
cat carrier came into my room this morning and I was really
nervous. When mum came down she took me back to the vets.
The lab had lost my blood sample and they needed to do
another. Just as my fur was starting to grow back as well!
Oh
Oh! Sprung. Mum caught me this afternoon. She was walking
up the drive just as I jumped out of the bedroom window
onto the garage roof. I know she was unsure that the neighbours
were telling the truth about my escape route, but now
she knows for sure because she saw me. I ran along the
garage roof to say hello. As I jumped down to say hello,
she picked me up and took me back inside. Bah, foiled
again!
