Saturday
Dad
went out for most of the day today and mum brought a lady
back with her that smelt of dog. I think it was her mum,
but she DID smell of dog! She had a very
interesting handbag, which I spent ages trying to get
inside but I didn't manage it. Whilst I was not looking
she closed the zip, how cruel was that?
Monday
Spring is here, the flowers are starting to flower and
the weather is getting nice. Mum painted the fence in
the back garden this morning. I helped her for a bit,
until I realised I was getting brown paint on my feet
from walking across the top of the freshly painted fence.
I then decided it was time for my pre-spring nap and went
inside. A cat needs to be prepared for all the extra energy
that may be used during springtime you know!
Friday
Not much has happened this week. I spent most of the week
asleep, preparing for the mating season and spring fun.
I know I am not allowed to go out, but I can live in hope!
I have also been "done" so I can't mate either, but it's
a natural reaction to want to try!
One
small thing that happened is that I have developed a fetish
for eating elastic bands. In the last diary I mentioned
the elastic band game, where stupid humans pull many elastic
bands and let them snap onto their forehead. Well, I have
found that elastic bands taste wonderful. Any
bands that I find on the floor, I have to nibble at until
it is no longer a band but a long piece of elastic. Then
I play with the elastic. Mum has now hidden all the bands
off the floor as she doesn't want me to eat these things
and need more stomach surgery... elastic bands are as
good as paper and tissues.
Saturday
It was a nice day today and I joined mum in the garden
for most of the day. I helped her with loads of stuff.
I helped her to weed the garden and then I sat and supervised
whilst she mowed the lawn, I didn't want to get too close
in case the lawnmower ate me though, so I stayed on the
wall, or on the patio. When she had finished I checked
the work by having a roll in the freshly cut grass and
it was lovely.
Henry
came into the garden for a while and we played on the
patio. He was on one end and I was at the other end, and
we were rolling in the grass and copying each other. He
even went to mum for a cuddle, which I thought was a bit
rude on my territory. He even tried to eat my pot of catnip
(Catmint is another name for it), I wasn't having that
one though, so I made sure I scented all the plant fully,
so next time he knows that it's mine!

Mum
also had her "Venus Flytraps" out in the garden to get
some sun, I thought I would check them out to see what
they were like and it snapped shut, just missing the end
of my nose. Not very friendly of them at all! I didn't
go near them again for the rest of the day, just in case
it mistook me for a fly again!
Sunday
Mum and dad went out today, it was another nice day and
they locked me in the house. When they got back, I greeted
them on the path. I know they were wondering about how
I got out, but that's my secret!
Tuesday
Drat!
One of the neighbours grassed on me. They told mum how
I have been getting outside when I am locked in the house.
I get up onto the open window in their bedroom and then
jump over onto the roof of the garage and then jump of
the garage to go exploring. Mum was amazed, and she shut
the window!
You
can see my escape route in the picture, it's marked with
the yellow arrow.

I
have been officially Grounded!!! Does she not understand
that it's spring and that it's a cat's job to be outside
and marking territory and finding lady cats? I will repay
her by sitting at the window and howling constantly until
she gets fed up and lets me outside.
Wednesday
It's
not working. I howled all day yesterday and most of today
but she has not even opened the door to the outside. The
bedroom window is still shut, as are all the other windows
in the house, se there is definitely no way outside.
I will keep the howling up until one of the following
things happen:
a) I get outside
b) I get a sore throat and can't howl any more
Thursday
Still
not managed to get outside, the window was slightly open
today but not enough to allow me to hang out of the window
at the angle needed to hit the garage… they are cruel.
It's a nice day and I want to go outside. Damn this FIV.
Anyway, it's all male cats around here and I don't want
to get over friendly with a MALE cat, I'm not like that!
