Monday
Not seen any of the squirrels for a few days so I have
had mum all to myself.. just the way that I like it to
be!
Mum
was tidying up before the binmen came and I spent ages
playing with a box on their bed. It was excellent. I managed
to get my head and front paws in it at one time, but then
I tried to walk off and fell over, d'oh! I forgot
that my paws were in the box! I love playing with boxes..
small things occupy small minds!
You can see in the picture below that I got my paws and
head in the box and I am watching mum take my picture…
!

Wednesday
Spent ages playing fetch with mum today and then sleeping
in the small cardboard box in my room. I have big boxes,
small boxes and cushions and pet beds but I have to sleep
in the smallest of all the boxes!
Dad
spent ages playing with me tonight - he was quite cruel.
He put my purple mouse on top of the door in my room.
I spent nearly an hour sat underneath it looking up, until
I realised that if I went behind the open door, to the
dining table I can jump onto the top of the door. Once
I realised that there was no stopping me and I was up
there like a shot. Mum and dad were watching TV, but half
watching me as well. They got a real shock when I disappeared
and then suddenly I was on top of the door playing with
the mouse. I think that they were quite surprised. Now
I'm up here, I really like it. It's my new favourite spot.
I have to be careful though as it's a steep jump down,
as I jump my shoulders dip to the ground as they take
the weight of the fall and I hit my nose on the ground.
I will have to work on the landing posture so no pain
is incurred.
Thursday
I
have spent the entire day walking around the house looking
at the top of doorframes to see if I can jump up there.
I got mum this morning and if I could laugh, I would have
laughed so much I fell off the door! I was sat on top
of the door to the dining room (my bedroom as well) and
mum walked past with a mug of tea. I decided that it was
time to come down for a cuddle and a play, and jumped
down just in front of her. I gave her a real shock as
she didn't see me on the door and she launched her cup
of tea into the air, which thankfully missed me but made
a nice pattern on the carpet! She was not impressed, but
I thought it was great fun and proceded to do it to her
all day!
Friday
Mum went out this afternoon and left me in the house on
my own. When they came back I was AGAIN
on the door but I soon jumped down to see what they had
brought in with them. They had nice fluffy material, which
I tried hard to snuggle into but it was quickly taken
away from me. I know it's for a cat bed like mine, as
it's nearly the same material, but it can't be for me
as they won't let me on it. I wonder who the lucky kitty
is going to be?
Saturday
An unusual Saturday for me. Mum and dad both stayed in
all day and I had cuddles for most of the day. Mum baked
some cakes and the house smelt lovely. Not kitty cakes
though so I had to smell this lovely smell all day and
then watch them be eaten - and not get offered any! BAH!
They
got some new game for their playstation and stayed up
until after 3am playing. I'm only a baby and I need my
sleep. I was sat in the lounge yawning my head off, but
wouldn't go to sleep in case I missed out on the opportunity
for a cuddle. I was shattered by the time they finally
decided to go to bed and shut me in my room.
Sunday
Gosh, I could have slept ALL day today. Cats need
LOADS of sleep and I didn't get it last
night, thanks to the damned playstation!
I was quite bored and restless today. I spent ages pacing
around the house trying to find something to do. In the
end I settled for a game of "Chase my tail" at
the bottom of the steps. I played this for about 20 minutes,
but I had to stop because both mum and dad had turned
off the TV and were watching me with tears rolling down
their cheeks. I didn't want to hurt them so before they
ran out of breath I stopped! I had a few more quick attempts
at the game throughout the night but because I was restless
I got bored quickly. Mum got me a new ball after a while
and we played fetch for ages.
Monday
Tonight when dad came home from work, as usual they both
went upstairs on the computer for a while. Like I said
in the last diary there isn't room for all 3 of us in
the office, however, I have found somewhere to sit and
watch them and have my own space… guess where?
Yep - you were right! On top of the door!
I even tried something new and tried to walk across the
top of the doorframe. I soon gave that up as a bad idea
though and was quite content to sit on the top of the
door watching them. When I got bored I went for a walk
up and down the length of the door to let the blood flow
back into my back legs.. it's really easy to get onto
this door as there is a platform under it where the stairs
are, so I can jump onto here and then it's a small pounce
onto the door from there.
I
know that a lot of people don't believe that I really
do all the things in these diaries, but I do and here
are the photo's to prove it.... don't look at the wallpaper
though... it's the only room that they haven't got round
to decorating yet.. wish they would hurry up as I HATE
Manchester United.... give me a Formula 1 car anyday!

Tuesday
I escaped today when mum was putting the shopping away.
I haven't been outside for a while so it was excellent.
I sat on the tree by the back wall for ages and watched
the birds in the other trees. I was tempted to try and
get them, but I have learnt from experience that as you
get near them in the tree they fly off or to another branch
and you never get them, so I don't waste the energy now.
I save it for playing in the house.. guaranteed reward
then (kitty treat usually), instead of running around
a tree for nothing! And, of course, running around in
a tree is very risky and it's a long way to fall to the
ground if I miss a branch whilst watching the bird.. It's
very tempting though as there are some fat and lazy wood
pigeons here….. I was dribbling whilst I was watching
them but I will wait for my tea … don't have to pull all
the feathers out of a bowl of cat food!
Oh treat! I got fish bits cat food. Hi-life pate with
real fish - mmmmmmmmmmmmm kitty heaven. Much nicer than
Hill's dry food. I ate it so quickly… hope mum buys some
more really soon.
Wednesday
Damn - back on the Hill's food. No more nice fish bits
for my tea. I will have to make sure that mum buys some
more when she goes to the supermarket next time.
Thursday
Mum has had guests nearly all day and I have impressed
them all by jumping on top of the door between the dining
room and the lounge. They were all surprised, especially
the children when I jumped down on them, as they couldn't
see me when I was up so high. Still kept hitting my nose
on landing though, so more work is required on the landing
technique. I will keep you posted on my various attempts.
I have been played with and cuddled all day by various
people and it's brilliant. I even got some quavers crisps…
children just don't understand the difference between
human and cat food! I know I like some human food but
not cheesy quaver things!
Next door had some work done this morning and it was so
loud that our house was vibrating and they are not even
the side we are joined onto. They had cavity wall insulation
put in, to keep their house warm. To install it the bricks
are drilled and this insulation is pumped into the wall.
The drill was so loud, but the pump was even worse and
it frightened me no end. I wouldn't let mum leave me alone,
I followed her everywhere so I wouldn't get hurt! They
finished early afternoon so at least I could have a peaceful
afternoon nap with no loud interruptions!
