Sunday
Spent
the day eyeing up the Christmas tree. I am going to fight
it and win before the end of Christmas!
Spent the evening playing "fetch" with mum.
When I wasn't playing fetch I was asleep under the tree.
Monday
Mum has spent the day cleaning the house and shopping.
Something must be happening. Most of my toys have been
removed from my bedroom… do you think I am getting a new
home for Christmas, as all my stuff is disappearing?
Tuesday
Dad finished work early and came home. I thought he would
play with me but instead him and mum did MORE
cleaning up! There was a lovely smell of cooking meat
today. I camped outside the oven for a while, but every
time they removed it from the oven I was in the other
room! Bah! Foiled again!
Wednesday
Christmas
Day
Wow,
oh wow! It must be Christmas. Mum and dad got up early
and opened their presents. I loved playing in the wrapping
paper that was left over. I even got my presents this
morning as well, I guess I wasn't getting a new home after
all.. Still bewildered as to why all my toys have gone.
Mum
moved the dining table and put loads of stuff on this
morning, but she wouldn't let me in to have a look in
case I messed it up… then all these strange people arrived
and more presents were opened, and more paper to play
in. A cat's dream! Now I understand why my toys and bed
have been moved into the garage, to make space for the
table in the middle of the room. It must be to make space
for all these people.
Dad
got mum an indoor fountain, which mum has set up in the
front room. What an excellent idea. Free running water
whenever you want it, that tastes quite nice.
Thursday
Mum got dad a machine that came in a nice shiny box. They
took the machine out today and I have spent all day playing
with the box. It's excellent to sit in and shiny, so you
can scratch it with your paws and slip of it… hours of
fun! Dad was happy with the coffee that the machine produced
- so everyone's happy!

Friday
Mum got some new cream today and left the box on the floor.
I spent ages tonight playing with it. When I got bored,
I went to play with the shiny box… I am an easily pleased
pussycat!

I have decided to give up attacking the tree. It isn't
worth it. Every time I try I get told off, and the tree
gets away with it. Even though it looks so inviting, I
am not going to bother with it any more. The only use
is for shelter for hiding under when they come to try
and put me to bed! Then it's excellent, as they can't
get me out from underneath it!
Saturday
After
a number of days of considerable thought and research,
I have made an important decision.
I am not going to wash in the bathroom sink any more,
I am going to drink from the fountain and use it get a
wash. Every time the indoor fountain is turned on (and
sometimes when it isn't on as well) I get a nice drink
from the base where all the water is. When it's turned
on it splashes a lot, so you can sit in front of it and
get a wash. You can get covered in water splashes without
exerting any effort, and then just lick it into your fur,
for a nice clean effect!
Sunday
Spent the weekend playing fetch with mum and dad. Also
been playing with the coffee machine box. It's definitely
my favourite toy from all Christmas. I quite like the
toys from my presents, but human toys are so much better!
Tuesday
New
Years Eve
Spent most of the day asleep on the shiny coffee box.
I realised that if you get bored with being inside the
box, you can make it into a different toy by sleeping
on top of it. You can see all the room and still play
with the shiny surface. I love scratching the pictures,
I don't understand why but it is compelling!
Nick came to see us yesterday and he was playing a football
game on the playstation 2. I loved watching the ball move
around the screen and just like the other week with Tetris
Worlds, I was glued to the TV screen. I sat in front of
the TV for ages and watched the football game… the fountain
was on as well, so I could sit there and get a drink whenever
I needed it without having to move. The lazy cats dream!
At midnight tonight loads of fireworks went off in the
street. I WAS asleep on my box just before
but I got a nasty awakening with all the bangs. Then as
if the fireworks weren't enough mum and dad pulled party
poppers and covered me with paper shreds…. BAH!
I am trying to sleep! It was nearly 4am when they went
to bed, it's not fair. They wanted me to play with them,
but I'm only a baby and I'm tired. I was trying to sleep
and they kept throwing my ball in front of me and making
me open my eyes. I gave up after a while and went into
my bedroom for a quiet, uninterrupted sleep!

Wednesday
New
Years Day
The tree went today. Ha! I didn't kill it, but I did outstay
it. I won! Also my scratching post came back so I was
a happy cat. Now most of my toys are back in the house
and it feels like my home again!
Friday
Mum and dad were out for a while yesterday and I spent
the time going around the house and rescenting. After
all the Christmas things have gone and my toys are back,
I have to make it smell like my house again.
Henry came to say hello today and he was sat in the garden
for ages. I wanted to go out and say hello but they wouldn't
let me.
