Sunday
Oh oh! Something strange is happening in our house today.
My scratch post moved out of the front room and into the
garage and a tree took its place. This was then filled
with shiny tinsel and baubles, a cat's dream! Lots to
play with!
Monday
There is something sticking out of my belly. It looks
like nylon thread and it's really scratchy. There is about
1cm sticking out of me and I look like a zip up toy! Mum
called the vets and it's the undissolved stitches from
my operation finding their way out of my tummy. Very odd.
I keep trying to pull it out with my teeth but mum and
dad stop me.
Tuesday
There
is even more stuff sticking out of me now, it's about
2inches long. Dad held me down tonight and mum cut it
off. I hope I don't have to go to the vets again because
of it.
Wednesday
I knew it! The cat basket was in the lounge today and
that only means one thing. I ran upstairs and hid for
over and hour and when I came down the basket had gone,
so I managed to avoid the vet trip… nice one!
I went to my usual place on the lounge windowsill tonight,
but I was nearly blinded. There are loads of flashing
lights around the window that were not there the other
day. I didn't know she had put them up and turned them
on. I got a shock when my usual warm, dark spot was all
lit up and flashing. It's not so nice to sit there now.
Thursday
Mum is not happy with me today. I knocked over the Christmas
tree and a load of branches came off on the carpet. She
told me off and I ran upstairs. A bit later she came in
the front room and caught me. I was climbing the tree
and I was ¾ of the way up when she came in. She shouted
at me and I jumped off, knocking the tree over again..
after that I had to amuse myself with playing "bat
the bauble" and "hit the tinsel"
but she was still unhappy with me.
When
they went out tonight they shut me in my room and told
me it was because they were protecting the tree… damn
thing!
Friday
In trouble again because of the tree. There was a wrapped
present under it, and everyone knows that cats like to
shred things, so it was only natural that in time I would
unwrap this gift for them and today was the day. I watched
mum wrap it earlier in the week, but I couldn't resist
trying to get inside for a better look. I nearly managed
it as well but she saw me and took it away out of my reach.
Never mind, I'll just have to play "bat the bauble" instead
for the rest of the afternoon.
I have had some nice treats this week. Mum bought me some
Felix sticks, which are totally delicious. I never had
this type of thing before. When I get one I eat it so
quickly, in case they change their mind and take it off
me! I recommend all pet owners should buy these treats
for their furry friends, they are gorgeous.
Saturday
I spent most of the day hiding today. Mum was in the front
room wrapping presents and every time I went downstairs
I couldn't resist sitting on the outstretched paper. I
wasn't very popular so I hid upstairs until everything
was cleared away. They didn't even leave anything under
the tree for me to shred, how cruel is that?
Sunday
A nice quiet day today. I spent it playing fetch, first
with mum and then with dad. An excellent day by my standards.
Oh - and I got some fresh turkey as a treat from their
lunchtime sandwich. I love fresh sliced turkey and I ate
it so quick, but when I asked for more there wasn't any
:*(
Monday
Mum was sat on the sofa a lot today as she is still not
well. We played fetch for ages through the day. In the
evening they went out so I was shut in my room so me and
the tree didn't have a fight and set off the house alarm.
I didn't mind though as I had all my toys and my big box
to sleep and play in. when they came back I had loads
of cuddles and playtime so they made up for being out
for ages.
Wednesday
Mum and dad were watching "The Life Of Mammals" on BBC
tonight and I was captivated. I watched nearly the whole
program. It was on cats and dogs in the wild. The noises
were fascinating. I must admit to hiding when the wolves
were howling though, it was a chilling sound. After watching
TV for nearly an hour I played with the fluffy white spider.
Mum had got me a new ball out earlier in the evening but
I couldn't play with it, I dropped it in my water bowl
and it was completely sodden so it is on the boiler drying
out, and I guess I will be able to play with it tomorrow.
I found a new place to sleep today as well, behind one
of the big cushions on the sofa. It was nice and warm,
and dark and no-one bothers you as they can't see you.
Well, that is until someone sat on me! Mum didn't know
I was there and sat on the sofa just where I was asleep!
I woke up pretty quick though!
Friday
I can't wait for Christmas. I know mum has got me 2 stockings
full of cat treats because I have seen them but I can't
get in them. I will get so fat over Christmas, good job
I've been on a diet!
