Sunday
Mum and dad went out for the day today and when they got
back I showed them that I had learnt a new game. It is
an ace game… I have called it "There's something
behind you…..". The rules are really simple..
chase the long black thing that you can see over your
shoulder. The first time I played it I bit the long black
thing really hard, and do you know what happened?? It
hurt! It was then I realised that it was my tail I
was biting, so the next time I didn't bite it so hard,
just a quick nip! When they came home I ran around in
circles at the bottom of the stairs trying to catch it,
when I did catch it, I started to nibble the end and then
started the game all over again! Hours of fun to be had,
but for any cats reading this that want to give it a try-
don't bite hard - it hurts you!
Tuesday
I had an adventure tonight with mum and dad. I called
it my Monster
Truck adventure. They brought this strange
looking thing into the front room and left it on the carpet
for a while. When I went near to investigate, it moved!
I was so shocked. It turned out to be a remote controlled
truck, big blue thing that moves quite fast, but not as
fast as me! They tied my hamster toy onto the roll cage
and dragged it around the front room, how could I resist?
Once I'd got over my fright of the moving truck and come
back downstairs to investigate, I was all over the hamster!
What an excellent game….. click on the link to see pictures

Thursday
I
had another adventure tonight… this time it was a "Speedway
Night" and instead of the truck
it was a racing car. This moved really fast and it was
much quieter than the truck. I was happily asleep minding
my own tail when this fast car went whizzing past my whiskers
and woke me up. I was very surprised, where did this car
come from? They put the cat charmer on the back of the
car and like the truck I had to investigate. We spent
hours playing until the car stopped moving and dad started
to complain about the batteries running out (whatever
they are). Click on the link to see the pictures of the
Speedway night.

Saturday
A strange guest came to the house today. Mum went out
and came back with a lady who smelt of DOG, loads
of dogs! How dare mum bring a DOG person into MY
house???? Has she no respect for me, Jack - King of the
House? The lady turned out to be mum's mum and she tried
to play with me and make friends but I wasn't having any
of it. They all went out this afternoon and came back
smelling of different cats. I think they went to see Dad's
mum as she has 2 cats that I smell on mum and dad every
Saturday afternoon… the trick didn't work on the visitor
though, as she still smelt of dog! She left her bedroom
door open when they went out though so I had a lovely
sleep on the guest bed!
Sunday
Our visitor got up early this morning and let me out of
my bedroom. I normally get up around 11am on a Sunday
but this morning the door was open from 6am… I was so
sleepy. I didn't go to bed until 3:30 this morning when
mum and dad went to bed so I was so tired at 6. I stayed
in my bed for a while but came out to investigate a bit
later. The guest tried to cuddle me but I bit her. Well,
there may have been a dog hiding behind her… a kittie
can't take any unnecessary chances you know!
It was really hot here today and I helped dad get some
Coke out of the fridge in the garage this afternoon. He
obviously didn't appreciate my help though, as when I
was hiding behind the box, showing him where it was, he
went out and shut the door. That was about mid-afternoon
just after we had finished watching the German Grand Prix.
They were sat in the back garden and the garage is around
the front so they didn't hear me shouting for them to
come and get me. I could hear mum shouting for me and
she sounded really worried, I mean it was about 6 hours
later! They eventually found me and let me out and I ran
straight to my water bowl for a drink. I wonder when they
will find the present I left them in the garage …. Hee
hee hee hee!
Mum and dad went back to sit in the garden and they were
watching the bats flying over the garden. They were very
quiet and it was dark in the garden so they could watch
the bats, well, I too was watching the bats and the moths
and having my own little game in the dark garden. I was
chasing moths around. It was very dark and cats can see
really well in the dark garden but I was watching the
sky (where the moths are) and I ran into the log roll
around the flower beds. I was running really fast as well,
I felt a bit dizzy after that and staggered around the
garden until I found the door and I went to bed! Hope
I feel better in the morning and my headache has gone!
Tuesday
Mum was on the PC this morning in the office. It is really
hot again today and she opened one of the little windows…
I came in to see what she was doing and felt the coolness
from the breeze and I knew instantly that one of the windows
must be open. I jumped onto the windowsill and found the
open window… before you could say "No Jack", I was outside
on the garage. Then I realised that it's a long way down
to the path.. my normal route is to bounce off one of
the open windows in the lounge on the way to the path,
but they are all shut. After catching some sun for about
5 minutes I decided to try and climb back in the window
I went out of, however it's not as easy as I thought it
would be. I kept hitting my head on the open window outside
and couldn't get back in… I sat by the window and started
to lick it whilst I thought of another way to get inside.
Mum was laughing at me and calling me a "windowlicker",
whatever that may be. Mum went outside and opened the
lounge window for me to jump off, but I was very unsure
and I didn't want to do it today. A few minutes later
it started to rain really hard and there was a loud bang
of thunder… my nervousness soon disappeared, I'm not standing
on top of the garage in a thunderstorm, and I jumped down
and ran inside before I got any wetter. After having a
good shake to dry off I fell asleep on the bedroom windowsill
for the rest of the day.
Wednesday
A strange thing happened to my tail today. I was sat on
the windowsill in the office tonight and I heard mum and
dad moving downstairs, so I ran down to see where they
were going. I jumped off the windowsill, onto the desk
and my tail got stuck to the computer screen. When I got
downstairs my tail was all fluffy and stiff, like a long
brush. Mum had a stroke of it and she said it felt weird,
and I must have got something called "static" on it… whatever
it was it didn't feel right! It went back to normal in
a couple of minutes though.
I had another trip to the vet again today as well, so
all in all it's not been a good day. I have been out in
the garden a bit lately and when they are not looking
I jump over the wall and go for a wander. I was bitten
when I was out and I had a lump under my left front leg.
I got an injection in my neck at the vets which hurt me,
and made me hiss at the vet. I have only ever hissed at
him once before and he was quite surprised at me.
Friday
I went for Reiki again this morning and it was wonderful.
I feel so much happier now. Mum and I were both treated
as the lady has started at our vets.. I was a bit worried
at first as I thought I was going to be injected again
but once I realised we were seeing Sue and not the Vet
I was OK!
