Fortnight

Saturday
Mum and dad stayed in all day today so I got cuddles and
played "fetch" for ages. It was wonderful. Ban also stayed
in but was asleep on the bed so I stayed out of his way,
as he is so moody at the minute. I got some new cat litter
today, it is weird. I have always had the wood pellets,
but now I have this clay stuff. I have found that when
you get in the box and dig into the clay chips, they go
everywhere. I had such fun tonight trying to see how much
of the carpet I could cover from the litter tray. I think
I did quite well actually, only a small amount remained
pink carpet with no clay!
Tuesday
I learnt a new skill today. Mum was on the phone and I
was sat on her knee, she just wasn't paying me enough
attention so I put my face up to the telephone and started
purring at whoever she was talking to. She got the message
and threw my ball for me to play fetch. I thought I was
being really clever!
Wednesday
Spent
the day playing. Molly came to see me today and she was
outside the French windows. We rubbed noses through the
glass and played chase. She ran up and down the length
of the window and I followed her. It isn't as good as
playing outside but it's still good fun. Ban had something
growing on his head today and he got boxed up and sent
to the vets this evening. He came back much happier after
the big fat tick had been removed from in front of his
ear.
And
the bad news of today was that I got my blood test results
through. I am FIV+ and infectious to other cats so I can
not go outside any more. I have to become an indoor cat,
so I will never be able to play outside with Molly again.
I am quite upset about that bit. Ban's tests are inconclusive,
they don't think that he is infectious but they are doing
new blood tests on him just to check, he should know his
results in a few days.
Thursday
Tried out my new trick again today. Mum was on the phone
and I jumped on her shoulder and started purring down
the phone. She put the phone in front of my face and I
heard dad talking to me from the plastic… I started purring
louder and miaowing and he talked to me, what a wonderful
toy. I was playing with my ball while mum was busy on
the computer, but I seem to have lost it somewhere around
the house, mum looked for it but she couldn't find it.
What am I going to do without my ball? I will see if I
can find it…..
Friday
Good
old mum, she found all the balls that I had lost today.
She pulled out the washing machine and there were 3 balls
hiding around the back. I am happy again now, all 3 to
play with, I'm spoilt for choice!
Saturday
We had tuna again for tea, it was lovely…. Not kitty tuna
either, proper human tuna. What a treat! I spent the day
asleep in my room while mum and dad were out and the evening
asleep on the rug in front of the fire, it's an easy life!
Ban was also asleep on the rug and we lay next to each
other. I didn't jump on him as he looked tired….
Sunday
Oh no! I'm not well today. Got a bad upset stomach this
evening. Not sure what caused it but I'm not well at all…
spent the evening running to the litter box. You see,
I'm well trained.
Monday
Still not well today. I am going to the vet's tomorrow
- ARGH! Another opportunity for our vet to shove
something up my bottom… do they think I like it or something?
Spent the day playing with mum and sleeping. Not seen
Molly for a few days… do you think she has found another
boyfriend? The other day mum was looking at a friends
website, they live in Sante Fe, USA and have 3 beautiful
snowshoe cats. I have fell in love with Makiah, she is
beautiful… Her picture is on the pet
gallery if you want to see her.
About 7pm this evening our vet telephoned our house. He
had got Ban's blood test results through. Ban is also
FIV positive and infectious to other cats. Unlike me,
Ban is an outdoor cat and doesn't really come in the house
that often, only for food and sleep. He is also coming
with me to the vet's tomorrow night.
Tuesday
A sad day today.
Mum
and dad took both Ban and I to the vets this evening.
I knew it! He stuck a thermometer up my bottom… I figured
it is less painful if you sit still and wait for him to
take it out, so I sat there quite still and then the minute
it had been removed made a run for the travel box. I hid
under the blanket so they couldn't see me. I got some
paste stuff I have to take and I am not allowed food until
tomorrow… but I'm hungry!!!
After
my turn it was Ban's turn to see the vet. They called
a nurse in, and they only do that when serious stuff is
going on. Mum was crying, dad was upset and Ban was screaming.
I could see a bit of what was going on. Mum and the nurse
were holding Ban but he was really fighting them. The
vet gave him an injection and he started screaming louder
and pulled the needle out of his leg. The vet tried again
but he pulled that one out as well. They turned him round,
filled the needle thing again and tried on the other leg…
one minute he was screaming, and the next he was quiet
and not moving. Mum and dad came home without him. I wonder
why they left him at the vet.
When we got home mum and dad were both upset and very
quiet, so I played with my ball and did some amazing acrobatic
movements to make them laugh…
Mum
explained to me that Ban had gone up to the Rainbow Bridge.
This is the place that all pets go when their time is
up. They cross the bridge and go through the rainbow,
and play in the fields with all the other pets until their
mums and dads turn up. Then mum and dad and all their
pets go to the next place, where we can all be together.
So at least I know that I will see Ban again at some time
in the future.
Wednesday
I AM the one and only King Cat of the house
now…..
Been
playing today. It's so weird, Ban not being here. Mum
is giving me loads of cuddles but I have no-one to pounce
on. Very strange. I am still not allowed outside, the
weather has been awful lately, rainy and windy and it
looks nice today. I really want to go outside but I'm
not allowed. Apparently I am never going to be allowed
outside now because of this FIV thing that I have got.
But, it doesn't stop me from wanting to go out….
Still
not seen Molly - her mum came round last night and asked
if we have seen her… she has been missing since the weekend.
I hope she is OK… if anyone around Highfield, Wigan UK
has seen her please e-mail madkitten@siliconhell.com
as her mum is really worried.
Spent
the afternoon trying to catch flies. They were on the
outside of the window and I was sat on the windowsill
and pawing the window trying to catch the flies. I never
managed to get one, but I spent nearly 2 hours trying.
Mum was watching me in stitches of laughter. Then I fell
asleep with my chin on the big yellow cactus on the window.
Here's a really good tip for you, if you have an
itchy chin - use a cactus flower to rub against, guaranteed
to get rid of the most stubborn itch!! I always
rub my face on it, the spiky bits aren't that sharp and
I love doing it… I pushed so hard on it before I knocked
over the pot and lay on the windowsill with my head on
the flower trying to protect it…. Mum put it back upright
but I soon knocked it over again.
Friday
I had fun today, you know I mentioned about the cactus
in the entry for Wednesday, well today I pulled the entire
plant out of the pot twice!! I dropped the cactus behind
the settee and left all the soil on the windowsill. Mum
was not too happy with me. She had to go outside in the
rain and repot the plant… he he he he !!!!
I
also knocked a glass light shade of a windowsill and watched
it smash on the spare bed.. they had to clean that up
as well.. all in all a busy day today! How much damage
can one little kitten cause in a house…. ??
I will see how much is possible to do in one day and keep
you all informed!!
Molly was in the garden today. She had been trapped in
a neighbours garage for 3 days… I bet she was hungry!!
I'm happy they found her, next to Makiah on the computer
screen she is the best looking scenery around here……
