Fortnight 220Confessions of a Mad CatFortnight 222

Fortnight 221

Monday

Hurray!!!!! The Cat Activity Centre went up today, well maybe I should give it it’s proper title, the Christmas Tree… to me it’s an activity centre as there is so much to do.. I can nibble the branches, I can play with the baubles, or I can climb up and play with the tree itself…. You see – it’s an activity centre! I sat on the sofa and watched mum put up my activity centre and then put on the decorations to give me something to play with during the long evenings… when she was putting up the lights in the window, I was half an arms length behind her eating the wire and pulling it off the suction cups. She got quite vexed with me!!!! When it was all done I went straight to the tree, pulled off a lower bauble, and played bauble football in the lounge for the rest of the afternoon.

Tuesday

I am still spending the majority of the day playing with the cat activity centre. It’s so appealing on so many levels; I just can't get enough of it! At least I haven't done what someone in the house told mum that their cat did.. climbed up to the very top of the tree and went for a wee… now, that would NOT be good, and I would certainly get told off for doing that.

Wednesday

The dog lady came today with a friend and they all went out for the afternoon. We stayed in our room by the radiator and kept warm as it is so cold outside. I believe it’s something like -3C.

Thursday

Oh wow – white stuff falling from the sky. I've never seen this before, I couldn’t wait to get outside and play in it. Mum came down and let me outside. I ran out, like I had been shot from a rocket, and oh, I got such a shock, the white stuff is really cold, and I mean REALLY cold!!! My first paw hit it, and I lifted it up and shook it, then I shook the next paw and so on. I was really confused, I had an odd look on my face!! Ozzy walked outside, and went right past me, he wasn’t bothered about the cold at all as he has seen this white stuff before. He told me that it’s called snow. I stayed inside for the rest of the day as I am a little wimp, and only like warmer conditions!

Friday

Well, it's snowing again today and both Ozzy and I stayed inside all day in the warmth. It's really unlike Ozzy not to go outside all day.

Relaxing in the warmth of the radiator bed!

Saturday

Another day of snow, we both went outside for a few minutes to go to the loo and then slept against the radiator for the rest of the day.

Tuesday

It was snowing really heavily today, I've never seen weather like this before, Ozzy said he has never seen so much snow before either. We are both only going outside for necessary toilet breaks, it’s even too cold for Ozzy, apparently it's -5C outside.. and that’s really cold on our paws!

Mum went out for a few hours this morning and came back with loads of bags smelling of food… I hope some of it is for us!

Wednesday

No more snow today, but the old snow has gone really hard as it's frozen. It’s far, far too cold for me at the minute and I haven't even been out for the loo, I'm using the litter tray instead. Ozzy braved it outside for a short while this morning, but it wasn’t too long before he came back in and got in the radiator bed to warm up.

Thursday

Christmas Eve

2 lovely smelling presents went under the Cat Activity Centre today, they smell of catnip, so I'm guessing that they are for Ozzy and I. I hope so. We have both had a sniff and nibble of the packet, but we have no idea what is inside…

Friday

Christmas Day

Woo Hoo – We both got presents.. how cool is that?? We both got cat stockings filled with nice goodies and a wand toy thing. I got a chasing toy thing and Ozzy got a sachet of catnip to renew his old catnip toys as he goes mad for it.. he just loves smelling and eating it (he is even still trying to eat the dead catnip in the garden as he is so mad for it!). We are both very happy with our gifts and spent ages playing tonight…

We even got a nice tea tonight, one of the Gourmet Pearl Tins that we both love. It was nice to have a special tea.. even mum and dad had a special tea tonight. They had steak and it smelt so nice in the house that Ozzy and I waited for a bit for us, but it never materialised!
