Fortnight 217
Saturday
Well, dad came back again today. I wasn’t going to go over for a cuddle, but mum was out and I was feeling in the need for a love, so I ran over to dad for a quick cuddle… mid cuddle, I heard mums’ car pull into the drive so I ran to the front door to get a cuddle from mum as she came in the house. I wasn’t disappointed and I got a nice cuddle in the porch. Mum gives much better cuddles than dad!
Monday
Yesterday was really quiet, I spent the day sleeping on the sofa. Today it was back to being Ozzy, I and mum as dad had gone back to wherever he is going in the week.
Wednesday
Mum spent ages cleaning the house today and moving things from unit tops into cupboards. Then this evening she sat in the lounge for ages, I heard her talking to dad, and someone was supposed to come look at our house, but they never showed up.. she wasn’t best pleased!
Thursday
I spent the day sleeping on the bed, it's really cold and windy as Autumn is here in full swing now. It’s far too cold to go outside for any length of time. This evening mum was sat in the bath listening to music with the bathroom door open. I was bored on my own, so I went into the bathroom and jumped onto the side of the bath. I sat on the side and every now and then I would dip my paw into the bath, walk down the side and dip my paw in further down. Then I would smell my paw, this bubbly stuff doesn’t half smell odd. I couldn’t get over the smell, so I kept dipping my paw in for a sniff. Every now and then I would rub noses with mum and then see how the water smelt. I was fascinated by it, I considered jumping in, but decided against it in the end.
Saturday
Well, dad was back again today. They spent the day watching F1 on the TV. Quite boring really! A couple came to walk around our house today, the lady was lovely and gave me cuddles in the garden. If they move in, do we stay here? I hope not and we go wherever mum and dad go!!
Sunday
Mum and dad were SOOOOOOO noisy today, They watched the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix and toward the end they started to scream and create such a racket. It turned out that their favourite driver (Jenson Button) won the Drivers World Championship, which was what they were screaming about. All that fuss over something so daft… pah!!!
Tuesday
Mum wasn’t well today and spent the afternoon in bed. I slept on her left side, and Ozzy slept on her right side. She was stuck in the middle unable to move or turn round!!!
Wednesday
We all went to bed again this afternoon. I didn't get any sleep though as mum kept coughing and the phone kept ringing – no rest for the wicked I guess!
Today is the anniversary of Jack passing away. I can't believe it’s been a year that it’s just been Ozzy and I in the house. Also, it’s been a year of me doing the diary – wow time passes fast. I miss Jack, he never played with me, but he used to beat Ozzy up quite often, which was good fun to watch. I hope he is having fun at Rainbow Bridge. Mum had a drink tonight and toasted Jack, I ran into our room and had a drink of water to join her toast – JACK R.I.P.
Thursday
Mum had another bath this evening and I joined her again. I tried smelling the bubbly stuff, and it smelt the same as last week. I didn't jump in as I hate being wet, I don’t even go outside if there is any chance of rain, so I'm not going to jump in the bath water out of choice!
