Fortnight 215
Sunday
It’s been a really quiet weekend this weekend. Dad still hasn’t come home and it’s just us and mum. This evening Ozzy was out and mum was lying in the bath listening to music, I was really bored in the bedroom so I went into the bathroom, and, while mum had her eyes closed, I jumped onto the board in the bath with all the stuff on and waited for her to open her eyes! She didn't half jump when she opened her eyes and saw me staring at her, from about half an arm distance away! Very funny!!!
Monday
Oh dear! I made a massive mistake today. I mean massive. Mum was in the kitchen making a cup of tea, and I jumped onto the unit for a cuddle. (I don’t do this often, but since dad has been away I have done it a few times!) Unfortunately, I knocked over her tea and it went over her arm. She lifted me up straight away and put my paw under some cold water, and then put some cream stuff on it, as some of the tea went on my paw. I went for a sleep, and was OK when I woke up. My paw isn't sore at all, so I didn't get burnt, which is really cool… but I burnt her arm when I knocked over the cup. She hasn’t told me off, but there is a bandage on her arm, so it must hurt! I feel bad!! Ooops.. I still have had cuddles this evening though, so she can't be that mad at me!
Oh, and I watched Sid (the snake) shed tonight, it was excellent. Then mum got out the shed skin and help it up against her, and the shed was longer!! Wow – never seen that before….
Tuesday
It was really odd this morning. Mum came down to let us out of our room, normally if we ask to go outside to the toilet, we get let out straight away, but today she would not let either of us outside. Shortly after, she got the cat carrier out. I went and sat by it, as it is usually out for me, but this time Ozzy got put in and taken to the vets. When he came back he told me it was for his booster injections. When he came back, the door was left open and we could come and go as we pleased.
Thursday
I have spent a few evenings outside after tea. It’s getting dark early and it’s cold at night. I don’t spend lots of time outside as I get cold quickly, but it’s nice to go outside and see the nightlife of the street and the garden.
Friday
I made another mistake today. Mum woke up this morning and looked out of the window to find our neighbour chucking cat poo from their garden into our front garden. Mum went around to ask them not to do that as it goes everywhere and is hard to pick up. She tried to explain that there are loads of cats in our street and it’s not only Ozzy and I that go to the loo in their garden. They were not very happy. Anyway, just as mum was explaining that Ozzy and I don’t go to the loo in their garden, I hopped over the fence, squatted down, and went for a wee in their flower beds. They all shouted at me, and I got told off! Guess it wasn’t the best of timing on my part!
Sunday
Well, another weekend with just us and mum as dad still isn't home. We had a play in the lounge last night as mum was not watching the TV and she was playing with us instead. It was excellent. We all went for a snooze on the bed this afternoon.
Monday
It was a busy day in the house today. A man came to put some smelly paint on the bathroom ceiling. He shut the door so we could not go in and disturb him, but I am clever and I managed to open the door just enough to go in for a look, and I nearly knocked him off his ladder. I'm not being very lucky this week am I??!! Anyway when he had gone, mum cleaned the bathroom and washed the windows upstairs and then went into the garden and cut the hedge at the front before winter comes and it’s too wet to do. Ozzy and I sat in the garden watching her with interest. Why do humans spend so much time doing pointless jobs in the garden? Ozzy and I just can't understand it!
Tuesday
Mum was out for a bit this afternoon and when she came home, she brought a bag of clothes that smell of dad. I guess he’s around, just not at home. I wonder where he is?
I am still jumping on the units in the kitchen for cuddles when mum is in there, but I get told off for doing it… doesn’t stop me though!
Wednesday
A quiet day in the house today. Mum didn't go outside at all all day. I spent it on the windowsill in the office whilst she was on the computer. Then I got bored and went for a sleep on the nice comfortable bed. What a purrrrrfect afternoon!
Mum finally took the bandage off her arm tonight. It looks red and sore and I felt really guilty when I saw it. I tried to give it a lick to make it better for her, but she pulled her arm away quickly, I think it hurt her. Ooooops!
Thursday
I am getting quite snotty again. I hope that I don’t have to go back to the vets today. My nose is running a lot, and I have runny eyes as well. Bet I will get dragged to the vets early next week. I hope we have a nice quiet weekend, as I can't be bothered to do much. It’s far too cold to spend a lot of time outside, and it’s too boring to stay in the house all the time. I need something to help me pass my time…
I have found a new seat when I go outside. I have started to sit on the roof of mums car. She came out of the house and saw me today, she laughed as I was perched on the car roof facing down the street watching people come and go. When I saw her, I came down to the bonnet for a cuddle. I have a really odd way of getting down from the roof, I don’t jump like any normal cat, no, of course not!! I sat down at the top of the windscreen and slid down it on my bottom with my front paws stretched out. It had been raining so the glass was wet and easy to slide down. Mum was laughing her head off at me, although I did hear her complaining on the phone that it took ages to get my slide marks off the glass when she was driving her car!! Some people will complain about anything!!
Friday
Well, I didn't have to go to the vets this week. Before breakfast today I got a tablet pushed down my throat. I hope that they work quickly and I am not too snotty for long.
