Fortnight 211
Saturday
It was another nice day today and I spent lots of time in the back garden. Ozzy disappeared out the back somewhere and was out all day. This evening mum and dad were watching the boxing on TV and we were watching Sid, she is pregnant and about to lay eggs so she is moving about in the tank a lot, which means that we are watching her a lot!
Sunday
Another quiet day today, mum and dad watched the British Grand Prix Formula 1. After that had finished we all went upstairs for an afternoon nap!
Monday
I think something is happening in the house as mum spent a while today emptying the windowsills and around the window area. All the ornaments were removed, either they are getting work done, or they are making more room on each windowsill for Ozzy and I!
Tuesday
Ah, they are getting work done. This morning the builder came and did some work in the back garden and put loads of things in our garage. It is really really hot today and I was far too warm to watch what they were doing, so I spent the day sleeping on the back of the sofa. I did spend a fair bit of time watching Sid move around the tank, she hasn’t laid her eggs yet, so she is still moving around loads.
Wednesday
It is so noisy in the house today. The back bedroom window is being replaced and it is a noisy job! I was trying to get my beauty sleep and I kept being woken up – I gave up trying to sleep after about an hour and went into the back garden to catch some sun instead.
Thursday
The main bedroom window is being replaced today so I can’t even get some sleep on the bed! I am so tired, I'm not used to getting so little sleep in the day!
Friday
Ozzy is in a bad mood today. He was out in the garden all day and when he came in the house later on for his tea, mum grabbed him and gave him a worming tablet, he was not happy about that! He miaowed really loudly and then ran out of the house and stayed out until bedtime. I think it was his way of making sure mum knew he was unhappy with her! I didn't get a worming tablet as we are due our tablets at different times, so I was laughing at him for being such a moody boy!
Mum and dad were all excited today as Sid (the snake) laid her eggs today. I watched mum carefully take them out of the nest box and put them in the incubator. I can't wait for little snakes in our house, lots of food!
Saturday
We both spent the day catching up on our sleep from the last few days, we are both SOOOO tired!
Sunday
Once again we spent the day sleeping, as we have a lot of sleep to catch up on.
Monday
It is Sooo hot here today, I found a nice cool spot under the bed and I stayed there all day.
Thursday
It’s been sweltering hot all week, and it’s been far too hot for me. I have been wandering around the house miaowing in warm discomfort, how does Ozzy cope with it, he is outside all day and I can't even bear to be outside for an hour. I guess it’s because he is white and I am dark so get hotter. I can't wait for it to rain and cool down.
I have got a new hobby in this warm weather though, lots of flies come into the house as all the doors and windows are open. I love to chase them, mainly in the lounge against the new window, much to the disapproval of mum and dad! I usually catch them and then jump back onto the floor and eat them, I am getting quite a taste for them now! Dad says he has seen me eat 10 in the last few days, but I'm sure I’ve eaten more!
