Fortnight 210
Saturday
Nick came today with his girlfriend and stayed overnight. We got cuddles from them all evening, which was really nice. It was quite rainy today so we stayed inside to get attention and stay dry!
Sunday
I spent the day alternating from inside to the garden, I could not decide where I wanted to be. Mum went for a sleep in the afternoon and we both joined her.
Monday
The warm weather last week has set off my runny eyes and snotty nose again. I spent the weekend with my eyes running and blowing snot bubbles when I breathe. Mum went out this morning and came back smelling of the vets. At tea-time I got a tablet before my biscuits. I don’t mind though as I know that they make me feel better. I sat there and let her put it in my mouth and I swallowed it and all the way through I was purring. I just love the attention – any attention!
This evening Ozzy was outside and I was inside and quite bored. Mum got out the cat charmer and I was playing with it for ages. It took my mind off being bored and restless!
Wednesday
Ozzy stayed outside last night, which meant I was in on my own and could spend all night in the radiator bed (the best spot!!!). Mum was calling and calling him but he was behind the wall in the garden and would not come in! He wasn’t too happy in the middle of the night though when it started to rain quite heavily! He came in this morning, and had some of the biscuits I had left and then went to sleep. He has been asleep all day, I wanted to play, but he wasn’t having any of it. He stayed in the lounge radiator bed snoring all day. Well, that is until I got jealous mid afternoon and jumped on him to wake him up! He jumped off and went to sleep on his cushion in our room instead. I got a few hours on the lounge radiator bed, so we were all happy. Well, I was happy, and that’s all that counts to me!
Thursday
It’s not been a nice day today, so both Ozzy and I stayed inside and caught on up our beauty sleep! Ozzy is still tired from staying out the other night, and I am just a cat that likes his sleep – I need it to get even more cute looking!
Sunday
We all had a quiet weekend as we are all tired. I think we can say that “This weekend we have been mainly sleeping!”.
Monday
It was another really hot day today – it was far too warm for me and I tried to find a cool place in the house and I stayed there.
Tuesday
A new toy came for us today it is the Kong Kickaroo and it is a long rectangle filled with catnip with a feather on the end. I spent a while playing with the feather as you all know I love feathers. When Ozzy saw it, he held the stuffed part and started to kick it with his back paws, which imitates our hunting methods. I never thought of doing that with the toy, clever idea! We spent the evening playing with this.
Wednesday
A skip came to our house today, but as it rained really heavily all day mum did nothing with it. It was far too wet for either of us to go outside and we both spent the day sleeping in the lounge.
This evening it stopped raining and Ozzy went outside for a while. When mum shouted him to come in at bedtime, he was nowhere to be seen. She tried for a while, but he didn't come in, so I had our room to myself again. It was lovely to sleep anywhere I wanted, but I was a bit lonely without Ozzy there.
Thursday
Mum spent the day in the garage throwing stuff into the skip. I watched from the back of the sofa as I was for too comfortable to go outside in the cool weather to watch more closely. Ozzy sat on the garden wall and watched mum for ages.
Another new toy arrived for us today, I am much more captivated with this one than the Kickeroo. This one is some feathers on a long wand. When it flies through the air, the feathers twist and it makes a noise similar to a bird flying, it’s called “Da Bird” and it’s wonderful. Mum swung it around tonight and instantly I was there, trying to catch it. It’s totally irresistible. When Ozzy came in, he saw it straight away and mum started to swing it for him. We were both there, trying to catch it. We spent the rest of the night playing with this new toy.
Friday
Ozzy spent all day sleeping catching up from Wednesday night when we was out all night. Because he was watching mum and then playing with the new toy last night, he got no extra sleep then either so he is really tired. I tried to wake him for a play, but he wasn’t interested. Boring old spoilsport!
