eft little paw prints and had redesigned the bed linen for her, I don't think she was very happy with us. We were made to sleep downstairs in the front room, not nearly as comfortable as the bed though!
Sunday
Dad played fetch with me in the garden today and we had some fun. Ban sat on the fence watching us, but he didn't join in. It started raining really heavily so we all went inside and had tuna for tea. Big purs! It was lovely!
Monday
It was really windy today and both Ban and I slept inside all day. The fence panels in the garden blew down and loads of leaves were flying about. I think it is called a gale. It wasn't nice at all. Inside was definitely the best place to be.
Thursday
Mum took me to the vet today as I didn't manage to hide my bad leg very well. It has been really hurting me and I have been sleeping lots as I haven't been feeling very well. The vet shaved some fur off my neck and gave me a blood test. While I was waiting in my cat carrier I made a tent with the towel inside. I buried myself under it and went to sleep. The children in the waiting room told mum that I looked really cute, I know… I'm good at it! When mum got the blood test results she started crying. I think that she got some bad news. When she got home and told dad he was dead upset as well…. I wonder what they were talking about. I got loads of cuddles and strokes but they didn't explain.
Friday
Ban got took to the vet as well this morning. He came back with a shaved neck as well, so I guess he also had a blood test. Mum had to take me back this afternoon to get another test that they could send off to the lab as the one they took last night had been thrown away. They were talking about ban and I this evening and I was listening. Apparently we have both caught FIV which is the feline AIDS virus. It makes the immune system in your body not work, which is why my leg is still hurting. My body can't fight the infection and I am not getting better. Apparently it is really infectious to other cats and mum had to go around the neighbours with cats and tell them to get theirs blood tested so all the cats in the street will have little shaven bits like Ban and I. We have started a new trend! We can't pass it to mum and dad but we have caught it off another cat in the area, and the area is now infected. Once you have it you have the infection for life which is a bit of bad news. We get our test results back next week and we have to stay inside until then. I love staying inside but Ban is getting so moody that the vet said that he could go out if he had to, but he shouldn't really. I hope the test results are OK.
