Fortnight 202Confessions of a Mad CatFortnight204

Fortnight 203

Monday

All this white stuff was falling from the sky this morning I haven't seen this stuff before and I didn't know what it was. Ozzy told me that he thinks it’s snow. Neither of us wanted to go outside today as it looked cold and unpleasant.

Tuesday

I was not happy this morning. I ran up to my bowl for breakfast and before I got my food I got a tablet put into my mouth. I guess I am back on my tablets twice a day again. I suppose I need them though as I have been really snotty lately and yesterday I sneezed 4 times in a row and fell over with the force of the last sneeze!

A new, massive package arrived today. It smelt lovely, I think it’s a cat thing. When mum unwrapped it, it was a new scratch post for our bedroom. It’s a bit shorter than the one we have in the lounge, but it’s still brilliant. I sat on it for a while and then mum put it in its place in our room and Ozzy sat on it for the rest of the day, he was still there at bedtime!

Thursday

It is still really cold outside and Ozzy and I have spent loads of time inside this week. Ozzy has spent it asleep on dads chair and I have curled up and had a lovely snooze on the nice, comfy bed!

Sunday

It snowed for ages today. Ozzy was really brave and went outside for a few minutes before tea. He walked on some of the snow in the front garden and then came straight back inside, it was far too cold for him! I didn't even bother going outside as I didn't like the look of it, and the cold draught through the house when mum opened the door for Ozzy to go outside was enough to convince me it was far too cold for my little paws!

Monday

Early this morning 6 men arrived in our back garden. I got a real shock, I didn't know that there were going to be people in our house today. They started to dig up all the grass in the back. I was really unnerved by all the people and their constant movement between the front and back garden. I spent the day upstairs, out of the way.

Tuesday

All the grass has gone out of the back garden, and so has the BBQ. How am I going to get on the wall now? Ozzy gets on by jumping onto the fence and walking around the fence to get to the wall. When he came to get off, he nearly jumped onto the non-existent BBQ. He realised just in time it wasn’t there any more and walked back around the fence. The men started to put these gray flag things down where the grass had been. I'm still unnerved by them all and I haven't been outside yet.

Another cat parcel arrived today. Mum has got us a replacement scratch post for the lounge as I have shredded the carpet on the base of the one we use now. It’s a bit bigger with a bigger top platform so Ozzy’s large backside fits on it now. I spent a while playing with the toy attached to it, and Ozzy spent ages sleeping on the top tonight. It’s much more comfortable for him now it has a bigger platform on the top.

Playing with the new scratch post

Wednesday

Mum and dad watched a wildlife program on the TV tonight. I was captivated with the shots of the bears and the wild birds. I jumped onto the table where the TV is and watched all the action from close up. I even tried to catch a few birds and nice looking images, but when I put my paw up I didn't get the bird, just the flat TV screen!

Mmmmm arctic bird for tea maybe??? I want that bit, why can't I touch it?

I want that bit....

Thursday

There are still workmen in the garden. All the flags are down now and they are making new flowerbeds instead of the old garden design. Mum is really happy with it, but Ozzy says it’s not as easy to use for us cats. I still haven't been outside to investigate so I have to take his word for it.

Friday

All the workmen finished this afternoon and I got a chance to go outside without loads of men being in the garden. I had a quick look around the new back garden, but wasn’t too bothered by it. I was more interested in the few flakes of snow that were falling. I soon got really cold and sat by the French windows howling for mum to let me back inside. I hate the cold weather!
