Fortnight 194Confessions of a Mad CatFortnight196

Fortnight 195

Saturday

Mum and dad went for a sleep this afternoon as they were both really tired, there was no-one to let me out to go to the toilet when I didn't feel well and I was ill again in the dining room. I hope that mum isn't too unhappy with me. When she came down and saw it, she gave me loads of cuddles, so I didn't feel too bad. I spent the night sleeping on the chair as I have no energy to do anything.

Sunday

I was ill again this afternoon, I wish I was better. I got my favourite tea tonight which made me a bit happier, but I am still feeling rather unwell and not very happy.

Monday

Mum went out this morning and I was really ill again behind the sofa. Mum looked rather odd trying to clean it up as she can’t move the sofa, she had to climb in to clean it. I felt rather bad about that. I heard her ring the vets and bring my appointment forward to today.

This afternoon I was asleep on the chair and mum picked me up and put me in the carrier, I guess I am going to the vets again.

At the vets they put me in the isolation ward where I spent tonight.

Tuesday

This morning they did some blood tests on me and I heard the vet talking to mum on the phone. He told her that the tablets haven't had any effect on me and the blood tests showed that I still have a problem with my liver. Also they showed that I have a very, very low white blood cell count so I can not fight off any infection or help myself get any better. The everyday toxins that we take in from food are building up in my body as I can't process them because of the problem with my liver. All this is making me very ill and I am not likely to recover from this. The vet advised mum to let me keep my dignity and put me to sleep.

Later this afternoon mum came into the vets looking really unhappy. I could tell that she had been crying. She gave me loads of cuddles and kisses and then the vet gave me a blue injection and I went to sleep forever.

I will be waiting for mum to join me at Rainbow Bridge.

Note: I would like to say a massive 'Thank You' for all the lovely emails of support I have received after posting this diary. It's lovely to know people feel so much for my beloved Jack, and feel that they have to write to pass on their sympathy. I really appreciate all the messages I have received from around the world. Thank you again on behalf of us poor souls left behind to mourn Jacks passing.

Mum
