Fortnight 187
Sunday
We haven't seen the ginger cat all weekend, I hope he has realised that this is our territory and is going to leave us alone… we had friends round at the house this afternoon and we all got cuddles, I love it when cat people visit mum and dad.
Monday
Mum took Tigger to the vet today as his nose keeps leaking dark green snot. He is on even more medication to get over the cat flu… I hope we don’t catch his runny nose.
Tuesday
It was a really hot day today and I spent the day sunbathing in the garden. Ozzy and Tigger alternated between the house and the garden. Mum was doing some sewing this evening and Tigger was trying to chase the needle and cotton as mum was sewing, I think she got quite fed up with him! I spent the evening sleeping on the sofa next to dad.
Wednesday
The house was upside down today and we all found it quite unnerving. Mum built a big sideboard in the living room and then moved the snake tank and put the new sideboard under the tank. It took her all afternoon to build it and move everything around. We all came inside every now and then to see what was going on, but we were in the way so we soon left. Ozzy and I spent a while watching Sid in the small tank, where she stays when the main tank is being cleaned, she was being quite boring, so even that did not keep us inside! When everything was finished and back in place, Ozzy and I had a massive fight in the house and ran around trying to bite each other. There was fur flying everywhere!
Thursday
Ozzy caught 2 mice this morning. He brought them both home to show mum and then ate them on the patio, he must not like the biscuits we get for breakfast any more! He is SOOOOOO greedy! Then this afternoon he came running across the garden with a baby bird. He is now the main animal catcher of the house. I can’t be bothered to hunt any more and Tigger is too young to know what to do.
This evening I was sleeping in the new bed, and Tigger came over as he wanted to get in, he kept nosing me to try get me to move, but it wasn’t working. Then he sneezed on me and covered me in green snot spray, that worked, and I moved out of the bed sharpish! He can have it now as it is covered in wet snot!
Saturday
Nick came today with his little brother, we all got to play with them both. They spent a while cat fishing, playing with Tigger and the cat charmer. By the time they went home we were all shattered from all the playing and spent the night asleep!
Sunday
Today was the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race. Mum and dad were watching it on the TV and I was asleep upstairs, as everyone knows I hate motor racing! Ozzy and Tigger were in the lounge with mum and dad. When Lewis Hamilton won the race, mum and dad shouted so loudly in celebration that Tigger jumped and fell off the sofa! We thought it was funny!
Monday
Tigger went to the vets today for his follow-up appointment from last week. He was given more powder to dissolve the mucus on his chest. He also got booked in for later in the week to be castrated as he is now 6 months old. Ozzy and I have been done, so it’s only fair that he gets done as well.. we will both laugh at him when he comes home!
Mum got some post today and she was really happy. She entered a number of photographs into the Feline Advisory Bureau 50 th Anniversary photo competition and she won a 5 th prize in the category of odd markings. Her picture of the markings on Ozzy’s back won her a prize, she was really happy all day!
Wednesday
Mum came into our room really early this morning and lifted Tiggers water dish up. We were given the run of the house, and Tigger was left locked in the kitchen. I went up and had a quick nap on the bed, and Ozzy stood by the bed but wouldn’t get on as I was already on there… ha! Soon after mum came down and Tigger was put in the cat carrier and taken to the vets to be done… bet he will be sore and grumpy later this afternoon! Ozzy spent the morning walking around the house miaowing and looking for Tigger, quite cute really!
The dog lady came today and she went out with mum. They picked up Tigger later this afternoon. The dog lady had Tiggers carrier on her lap in the car, and she wasn’t impressed when about 10 yards from the vets he went for a poo in the carrier!! She was lucky he didn't go for a wee as well as there are loads of holes in the carrier and she would have got soaked! At least he waited until he got home to go for a wee! He was OK though, not too grumpy and he spent the night playing with Ozzy.
Thursday
We spent the day in the garden enjoying the sunshine.
