Fortnight 186
Saturday
We had a quiet day today. Mum and dad were out this afternoon and we got to sleep in the house. This evening was rather quiet and we all spent the evening in the lounge.
Sunday
Mum got up early this morning and let us out of the room. Dad was still in bed and mum was on the computer. Tigger spent the morning jumping around dad on the bed, whilst Ozzy and I went outside into the garden. This evening I slept in Tiggers new bed, and he slept on top of the sofa. Ozzy spent the evening on the landing upstairs.
Monday
Mum went out early this morning and came back shortly after lunch. She went to bed, and we all joined her. There is nothing like a nice comfy afternoon snooze on the bed!
Tuesday
Mum wasn’t well today and spent the afternoon in bed again, once again we all joined her!
Wednesday
A really different and exciting day today. This morning when mum came downstairs there was a man with his arm through our letterbox trying to get hold of dads’ keys from the windowsill. Mum was really scared and she shouted at the man, which made all of us jump. Soon after 5 men and a lady from the local Police force came to the house and put this white powder all over our front door. There was a gentleman in the lounge talking to mum with a large and interesting smelling bag, which we all investigated. He gave us all cuddles, and then continued to talk to mum. She then went out and came back with a bag of stuff which she started to saw and drill and attach to the front door. There was a lot of noise and we all hid upstairs.
Thursday
After yesterday the house seemed really quiet today. Everybody seemed quite down and reserved, we spent the day sleeping and getting over the excitement from yesterday.
There is a ginger cat in the street that is getting really bold and challenging for our territory. Tonight he was on our fence, and even when mum hissed at him, he wouldn’t go away. She got a jug of water and threw it at him, and he still stayed there. That cat has got guts! Later on this evening he really terrorised me, Ozzy had gone into the house after being chased by the ginger cat, and when mum came outside to chase him off again he was hissing at me whilst I cowered behind our bin (I’m such a yellow belly!). Mum chased him off for me and I slunk inside feeling less than brave! I hope he doesn’t come back for a while.
Saturday
A really quiet day in the house today. It was raining really heavily so we didn't want to go outside. We all found our favourite spots in the house and went to sleep!
Sunday
A day of rain and heavy winds here, so again we spent the day sleeping in the house. Mum and dad watched motor sports on the TV, so I hid upstairs so I couldn’t hear it! Ozzy and Tigger don’t seem to mind the noise and they slept downstairs.
The ginger cat was in our garden again today, I hope that the winds blow him away. He is becoming a real pain.
Monday
Mum had a mad cleaning day today. All our stuff from our room was on the patio, and she cleaned the floor in our rooms and our food mats, which are covered in dried gravy from our teas! After an hour or so everything was put back, and the room smelt of cleaning stuff! It was nice weather so we spent the day in the garden and on the cricket pitch.
Wednesday
It rained really heavily today. I spent the day asleep in the spare bed, and Ozzy and Tigger spent the day playing around the house in their own mad way…
Thursday
Another quiet day today. We all spent the day sleeping as it was still raining. I think we are all getting boring!
