Fortnight 181Confessions of a Mad CatFornight 183

Fortnight 182

Saturday

We had some visitors in the house this afternoon. We both got a few cuddles when we went in to say hello.

Monday

It was a really warm day today and mum spent the afternoon in the garden. I was out in the field at the back of the house and Ozzy spent most of the time sat on the garden wall watching mum. She built this big green thing (have you ever noticed how most things for the garden are green – odd isn't it?), which we both went to investigate when it was finished. Haven't a clue what it is for though!

Mum tried to feed Sid tonight but he has been rejecting food lately and as she was holding the mouse up after he had rejected it, Ozzy tried to eat it out of the tongs. He got told off and the mouse was moved really quickly out of his reach.

Tuesday

Mum spent ages today re-arranging our rooms. Now ozzy’s bed is in my room as well as his food bowl. The spare litter tray in the kitchen has gone and tonight we were both locked in the same room, we no longer have the run of the kitchen and my room, just my room. It is very odd, but I'm sure we will get used to it.

Mum tried to feed Sid a smaller mouse tonight, but again he rejected it. It was my turn to try and eat it off the tongs, and again I got told off and the mouse was moved away.

Wednesday

We are still getting used to the new layout of our room. I spend the night in the cat carrier and Ozzy spends it either in his bed or the radiator bed. We spent a while playing tonight, not with each other, but with dad.

Sid rejected more food tonight, I think mum is getting worried now.

Thursday

Mum was out for ages this afternoon. She took Sid out with her, which was really odd. I think she took him to the snake shop to find out why he is not eating. They told her that Sid was a she and that she is ovulating and looking for a mate, that is why she is not eating. She then took Sid to show her to the vets as they always ask to see her. When she was there, there was this kitten on the desk playing, that was very wheezy and looking for a new home. He is 12 weeks old and has had cat flu and has now got a chest infection and a runny eye. Of course, she brought him home.

Around tea-time Ozzy came into the lounge and came face to face with the new arrival. There were a few growls and then Ozzy left him alone. I didn't see him until about 7pm. He is so small that I am not bothered by him at all. It is a bit odd though, having another cat here.

Friday

Mum took Tigger, the kitten back to the vets today for his second vaccinations and an identichip. I guess he is staying with us now as she brought him back home and he is now a formal resident of the house.

Saturday

Amazing, Ozzy has been playing with Tigger and has stopped hassling me. It’s wonderful, I finally get some peace. They spend a while playing and I get to sleep undisturbed upstairs. How brilliant.

Sunday

Tigger spent the afternoon asleep on mums shoulder. Ozzy and I moved from the garden to the house and back again exploring and checking no more kittens were around the house!

Monday

I have spent the day asleep in the spare bed and Ozzy and Tigger have been chasing each other around the house and playing with each other.

Tuesday

We all spent time outside today, apart from Tigger who isn't allowed outside yet. This evening I sat on the windowsill in the lounge whilst Tigger and Ozzy ran around the house together playing.

Thursday

Tigger and Ozzy spent the entire morning running around the house chasing each other and when downstairs, chasing the ball. This evening they were both playing with the laser pen. I sat on the windowsill as I am too old and wise to play anymore!

Friday

Mum went out this morning and we all had the house to ourselves. I went to sleep in the spare bed, and the two kittens played together and made a mess of the house. I think I am living in a cat home full of madcats!

Monthly Summary

Favourite toy: None

Favourite place: In the cupboard in the spare bed

Favourite pastime: Watching Tigger and Ozzy playing

Least favourite thing: Kittens!
