Fortnight 178
Saturday
Just after lunch yesterday mum was taken away by this big van with flashing lights on the top, and she didn't come home all day, in fact she is still away now. Dad went out for a while this afternoon and came back later on, it is odd in the house with just us and dad.
Sunday
It’s still the 3 of us, with mum away. We are both sleeping in various hiding places in the house and keeping out of dads’ way. We are getting fed by a nice lady who comes into the house every day.
Monday
A very quiet day today with dad working and no-one downstairs to give us cuddles in the day. It’s odd in the house with mum not being here.
Wednesday
Mum came home this morning and she smells odd, very disinfectant smell like a hospital. She was very quiet today and spent the afternoon in bed. We both gave her cuddles as it is nice to have her back in the house.
Friday
Mum is still spending a lot of time in bed and the house is still really quiet.
Saturday
Tonight I did not want to sleep in the lounge as Ozzy was in there, so I decided to have a nice quiet nap in my room. Mum came in looking for me and she got a real surprise to see me sleeping in the cat carrier. She knows I hate going in there to the vets, and I think she was really surprised to see me sleeping in there out of choice! As she was taking a picture of me in the carrier, Ozzy got in the one below. I turned around and started to growl through the floor of my carrier and he soon ran off!
Monday
Mum and dad are off together this week. I think it is mum’s birthday today as there are loads of cards in the lounge and flowers keep arriving at the door for mum. Our front room smells like a flower shop!
Tuesday
More cards came today as it mum and dads wedding anniversary. More flowers as well – I think we are living in a flower shop!
Wednesday
Ozzy was outside tonight and I made it clear to mum and dad that I felt like playing. I was playing with the cat charmer and the laser pen. After they finished playing with the toys I kept running across the room and jumping on pieces of paper and then running back to where I started from. I did this a number of times and kept making mum and dad laugh at me. It’s ages since I played, and I really enjoyed it. Especially as Ozzy was outside and I could really relax and play.
Thursday
Tonight Ozzy decided he was going to sleep on top of the snake tank. He looked really relaxed with his leg hanging down, as soon as mum got out the camera, the poser that he is looked up and started to pose for pictures! I spent the night sleeping on the windowsill as it is nice and warm.
Friday
Mum and dad spent a while watching bike racing on the TV this afternoon and of course I made myself scarce as I hate the noise of racing. Ozzy doesn’t mind it and spent the time sleeping on the back of the sofa.
