Fortnight 171
Saturday
Nick and his friend came today and they all went out this evening. They got back quite late and then stayed up talking until 1am. Ozzy and I were so tired when they finally went to bed, as I said in the last diary, we are not used to such late nights!
Sunday
Mum and the boys were up early today as they boys had a train to catch, a late night and earlyish morning is no good when you are already tired. Mum and dad had a quiet day and then went out again this evening. They came back late, but not as late as last night, although they did stay up talking until the early hours again. I hope that they don’t get up so early tomorrow! I need my beauty sleep!
Monday
Thankfully mum and dad had a lie in this morning, and so did Ozzy and I. I think that we all needed a bit more sleep!
This evening I was resting on the cushion on top of dad’s sofa and Ozzy was on the cushion next to dad. I was really nervous as I thought that Ozzy would try something and attack me. My nervousness was not unfounded as shortly after, Ozzy stood up and was watching me and then tried to bat me off the cushion with his paws. We had a short fight, which happily I won, so I got to stay on the cushion.

Wednesday
I spent today asleep on the spare bed today. I am really tired, and the weather is cold and windy, so the best thing to do is to find a comfy position and stay there all day!
Thursday
Once again I spent the day sleeping on the spare bed, I must be getting old as I am sleeping lots and getting boring!
Saturday
We all had another quiet day today in the house. I spent the day asleep on the sofa by dads side. Thankfully Ozzy left me alone and I had a lovely nap!
Monday
This morning, as usual we were let out of our rooms, but for some reason I wasn’t allowed outside as I normally am. Shortly after, mum came down and both Ozzy and I were put into cat carriers. We were both placed in the car for a drive across Wigan. When the car door opened we were at a farm at the other side of Wigan. A lady picked up the carriers and we were carried into a long barn with pens down either side. I recognised it at once as the cattery I used to go to when I was a kitten. Ozzy, of course did not recognise it and was not happy at all. He was placed in a pen in the main barn and I was put in a pen in the isolation area of the barn. At least we were far enough apart to not hassle each other! Ozzy was so loud and I could hear him all the time.
Thursday
This morning I recognised the sound of mums car as it pulled into the front of the farm. Ozzy was still howling, does that kitten never shut up? He has howled so much that he is losing his voice!!! I however, have been very quiet and well behaved! Mum put Ozzy in his carrier and the lady came for me. Ozzy wouldn’t go in his carrier and just wanted to kiss mum and get cuddles, I had to wait until he was finally satisfied and would go into the carrier. In the car on the way home Ozzy was so noisy! He howled and cried all the way, even when his voice started to go he still carried on wailing. It was lovely to be back home with all our creature comforts. I couldn’t wait to get on the main bed for a comfy snooze and Ozzy spent the day following mums every step in case she left him again.
Friday
Ozzy is still following mum closely around the house, even sitting on the bath whilst she showers! Talk about paranoid! I on the other hand am older and wiser and I know that occasionally we have to go to the cattery, I have been enjoying the various comfy beds around the house and of course, my favourite cushion on top of the sofa. Ah it’s good to be home!
