Fortnight

I'm
really sorry but I have missed a couple of diaries as
I have been sleeping a lot lately… nothing happened coz
I was sleeping either inside or in the garden…
Saturday
I
have been spending more time outside lately, as the weather
is nicer. A lot of the plants in the garden now have flowers
on them, and they provide a nice hiding place. I hide
under the flowers and when Ban goes past I jump out on
him. I have given him a few shocks lately. When we play
in the garden I hide under the bushes, he is too big to
get in there and he waits for me…. When he gets bored
and goes away I come out! I am a clever cat!
Tuesday
Next
door have started putting water on their garden in the
evening. The pipe that the water comes out of has holes
in and the water comes out (not just at the end, but all
the way along the pipe)… I love playing with the jets
that come out. They laugh at me but it is a good way to
cool down when the weather is hot. Next door are still
not really talking to me after the poo incident but I
think if I am in their garden not the house then it is
OK….. There are lots of animals that have arrived in the
cricket pitch at the back of the house. I have started
to catch more presents for mum and dad. I am getting quite
good. I believe that there is a world record of catches
for a cat:
Towser, a female tortoiseshell owned by the Glenturret
Distillery Ltd, Crief, Tayside, UK holds this title. When
she died in 1987 at the age of 24, she had caught a total
of 28,899 mice - an average of 3 per day.
I am trying to reach this title and I am bringing home
an average of 2 catches a day… I know I have along way
to go, but I believe in starting young….
Thursday
During the last month when I have been sunbathing outside
I have got a lot closer to Ban. We have spent ages playing
in the garden and we even sleep touching noses sometimes,
which is really nice. I know that he still misses Moggy,
(the old cat that was here before me) but I will keep
him young with lots of playing! Mum put this water thing
on the garden tonight and it was really cool. I think
it is called a sprinkler. I was having a closer look at
it and then my face got hit with about 40 jets of water,
I think it was when she turned it on. It was dead cold
and I jumped quite high with shock. I then spent ages
running after the lines of water but I didn't catch any.
I had a nice cold drink though and a bit of a wash!
Saturday
Mum
and dad got the tube thing out again tonight and were
looking at the stars. I was playing in the garden and
I caught a bird. I was so proud of myself but they told
me off, and locked me in the house. When they came back
in I had shredded a whole box of tissues on the living
room floor. It made such a pretty pattern, white tissue
on a purple carpet. They were not happy! The paper still
tastes nice, but I get so little opportunity to taste
it now…. It is always locked away! This was the first
night in ages that I spent sleeping outside and it was
good fun.
Monday
I have got into a routine now where I sleep most of the
day. In the evening I go outside and play for a while
and then most often I spend the night outside. Mum stays
inside in the day on the computer so I sleep in the spare
bedroom or on her knee. If I sleep by her I get strokes,
which is a much better idea!
Tuesday
There are some new cats in the street now. We are not
friends as they keep sleeping in my garden. One of them
used to be a friend of mine but I haven't seen him for
ages. He told me that he had been run over by someone
in our street and now he has no tail and he has been inside
for ages getting better. He looks really strange, I felt
really sorry for him, but I couldn't help laughing when
he fell off our fence! I can't imagine trying to jump
and balance with no tail.
Friday
I
have frightened off the new cat. He is a big black tortoiseshell
… him and Ban are real enemies.. Something about a dominance
battle, I didn't quite understand what Ban was telling
me, however I understood that they don't like each other.
I saw this big cat eating Ban's food this morning and
I bit his tail! I will stand up for my friend Ban.
