Sunday
I spent today asleep on the bed, where it was nice and warm.
This evening I had a mad hour and was going mad in the lounge. I was chasing my tail for so long that I was out of breath! Then I spent an hour or so playing with my white mini-mouse.
Monday
I spent this morning hiding from the cleaner. I hate the noise of the hoover and I don't want to get cleaned up in a massive duster by accident!
This afternoon I sat on mum's knee whilst she was reading a book. I was warm and cuddled, what more could I want?
Wednesday
Mum ordered me some new toys from an excellent online pet shop. They came today and I was really excited. I got some new mice, but they were teddy bear fur not like the mini-mice that I like so much. I also got some new catnip in a tub.
This evening I lay down next to the tub, with it in my front paws. I squeezed it in my paws and bit the tub trying to get it open. After a while of trying, mum opened it for me and I spent a while nibbling the catnip. I was a happy cat!
Thursday
It is so cold here today. I spent the day asleep on the windowsill over the radiator.. toasty warm!
Sunday
It must be Christmas. Today the Christmas tree was put up and decorations around the house. I stayed on the windowsill out of the way so I didn't get into trouble. The only problem is that the flashing lights on the window kept me awake… they are so bright that I can see them even when my eyes are closed!
Monday
More flashing lights in the house today… this time they were on the Christmas tree. There is nowhere to go now in the front room to escape them! I think I will hibernate now somewhere dark, and away from all flashing lights!
Tuesday
Yep, it's definitely Christmas. Today the front room was turned into a paper factory. There were presents and wrapping paper all over the lounge floor. You couldn't see the carpet for all the mess!
I am now 5 years old and I have finally learnt an important life lesson. If I keep out of the way and don't shred wrapping paper and presents, I get more cuddles and a nice tea and I don't get shouted at! This is the first year that I have not done this, and it is definitely better than in previous years!
I have a new favourite food.. I have started to really like the Gourmet Cat food, mini fillets in gravy. I got chicken fillets tonight for being good and not attacking the presents or wasting an entire roll of wrapping paper!
Wednesday
We had a visitor at our house today. They have been a number of times before, but today they brought boxes full of presents with them. As soon as the presents were taken out of the boxes, I jumped in the box to smell if there was a present for me in there… there wasn't. to show my disgust, I curled up and went to sleep in her box, so she couldn't tidy it away.
I hope that no-one has forgot to buy me a present this Christmas.
Thursday
Another cold and windy day. Today I spent my time asleep under the duvet on the bed. I was nice and warm and no-one disturbed me as no-one could see me! Also, there are no flashing Christmas lights under there!
