Saturday
I spent most of today asleep on my furry cushion. It's cold, wet and windy outside and I don't want to be there. I have decided that I am going to hibernate and miss out the winter altogether!
Sunday
According to animal programs that I have heard on TV, animals hibernate in smallish boxes (may have to be a medium sized one to accommodate my backside!) with lots of paper to nestle in. I made do with the second best thing… the unused washing up bowl on the dining room table, that has loads of paper and junk stuff around it… I curled up in the bowl, making sure I fitted in OK, and went to sleep. There was paper around me, even if it wasn't in the box, that has to be a pretty good effort considering I'm just learning about this subject.

Monday
As I was asleep on my bed this afternoon (trying to hibernate), I witnessed something that made me rather annoyed. If you have read my diaries before, you will know that there is a white cat with no tail in our street, and we do not like each other. Today, he came onto my territory and into our back garden. As if that wasn't bad enough, he walked right up to the French windows where I was, as my bed is behind the doors. He stood there right in my view and started to eat my catmint from the pot in front of the windows. I was not impressed and started to wail at him from behind the windows. Dad knocked on the window and he ran away. When he had left the garden and the coast was clear of white cats, dad let me outside. I ran straight over to my catmint and had a nibble, then I rubbed my face all over the plant and its tub, so that it smelt of me again, and then I came inside and went back to sleep… I dreamt of cheeky cats eating MY catmint!!

Tuesday
Another new box came into our house today. It was quite long and thin and I was very interested in it! Mum had propped it up against the sofa, a purrrrrrfect position for a curious kitty to inspect. I jumped onto the sofa and stood at the top of the box having a sniff and a good look around. I decided to stand at the top and run down the length of it, sort of like a slide. However, as soon as I stood on it and took one step, it collapsed and I landed on top of a rather squished box, on the floor. I guess I was just too heavy to slide down an empty cardboard box!! I consoled my fat thoughts with a good healthy nap!

Thursday
I was asleep in my firebox box on the sofa tonight, and dad allocated me a new job. Now, not only do I have to be the cute cuddly thing in the house, but I also have the very important task of looking after the remote controls. I am doing a pretty good job, what do you think?

Saturday
Mum got me a new brush today. Before today she has used a metal comb and it hurts me a bit and I don't like her using it. I normally bite her after a few minutes of her trying to brush me. The new one is a proper brush. On one side there is a metal bit, but it is softer than the old comb, and on the other side is a soft brush. I love this new brush as it means I get lots of attention and no pain. That has to be a winner!
Sunday
I got another brush today, I think this is going to become a daily feature, I hope so, as I do enjoy it.
There was no motor racing on the TV today, thankfully. I spent a nice peaceful day asleep on the sofa.
I am trying to keep out of the way of mum and dad as I have a swelling on the back of my ear.
Under the Darwinian Theory of Evolution, I think I may be evolving and growing
a third eye to allow for full 360° vision.. I will keep you informed.
Monday
Halloween
There were loads of reasons to be uneasy today. Firstly, this afternoon, mum filled the electric pump action water pistol. That always makes me nervous as I am sure that I will get targeted. Secondly, loads of sweets were put in the porch were I jump on the windowsill when the doorbell goes. This is not good as I don't get to see who is coming into our house. Thirdly, there were loads of scary noises from the street.
This evening loads of people rang the doorbell and they all looked really scary… most of them got wet though, and they didn't look quite as scary wet!
After all the children had been and the sweets had gone, I spent the evening playing. Mum got me a mini-mice out from the cupboard. I love these, they are mini-mice, about 5cm long and covered in fur. They are brilliant to play with. I spent a very happy evening playing “Bat the Mouse”. Well, it was a very happy evening, until mum found my new eye and decided to inspect it closer.
Tuesday
ARGH!!!
I heard mum on the phone, and the words “vet” and “appointment” were mentioned. I hope that doesn't mean me.
It did… this afternoon I was asleep on the sofa next to dad, and mum went in the garage. Somehow I knew straight away that she was going for the cat carrier. I ran upstairs and hid under the big chair in the spare bedroom. There is no way that she can get me under there! Well, that is what I thought until she pulled out the chair and got hold of me! I wriggled free and ran downstairs. She followed me down, but I had already had time to find a good hiding place. They tried to get me to appear by tricks like opening the front door and putting biscuits in my bowl. I'm not that stupid and I didn't move from my hiding place. After about 10 minutes mum came into the kitchen looking for me, and to my dismay she looked behind the washing machine and found me. I thought I had found a really good place by squeezing myself down the side of the washing machine and sitting down half behind the machine, but with my bottom sticking out of the side, she saw by bottom poking out from behind the machine at the end of the tunnel I had squeezed down. I got picked up and put in the carrier and taken to the vets. He squeezed my third eye and said it was OK. I jumped back into the carrier and we came home. No tablets got pushed down my throat tonight, so I guess I must be OK. The swelling is starting to go down, so it wasn't a new eye after all.. just a very big spot!
Wednesday
Usually in a morning when I am let out of my bedroom, I am waiting at the door for a cuddle, then I have a bite of breakfast and go into the garden for a breath of fresh air. Today was different though. When they came to let me out of the room I was cowering by the curtains, I didn't go near my breakfast and went into the kitchen for a quick look around and then I part crawled and part ran back to my bed. I stayed there until mid-afternoon. I just didn't feel like being sociable at all today.
Thursday
This new brush is a massive hit with me. I am now getting brushed every day and my coat looks lovely. When it is time to get my head done, I push my head back into the comb and get a lovely head massage as well as nice looking fur!

My third eye has completely gone now… I am quite glad about this as ii don't want to be a freaky cat with three eyes. They may change my name to blinky!
