Confessions of a Mad Cat

I have arrived!!

They must have been expecting me because there is a bed here, my favourite food and loads of toys. I spent the day playing and exploring the house. There is loads to do, much more room then the pen that I am used to. The basic setup seems to be Mum & Dad (for cuddles and food) and something else that I can smell but have not seen yet. I will let you know when I find out what it is….

Something strange happened later this evening though, mum and dad put my bed, food, toys and toilet into this massive box with me in it and closed the door. What no cuddles? This is NOT fair! Anyway clever me sussed a way to jump out after a few minutes and I was soon having cuddles again! The cool thing is that now I get the whole room to play in at bed time!

Friday

I have had a brilliant week. Ahh - the life of a kitten. I spend most of my day asleep and the few hours that I am awake depending on how I feel I either run around the house, or eat or get cuddles. Pretty cool! There is one major thing I need to start remembering though, when I run I must keep my claws in…. I keep getting stuck in the carpet but by the time I realise my legs have not stopped and I fall over! I can’t keep looking stupid, I’m a cool cat! Mum and Dad finally decided on my name and I am called Jack. Seems the best of the options that they were talking about anyway…. Can’t see me as a Snowy somehow…

Saturday

I saw something SO strange today…. I was playing my favourite game of hiding behind the glass ornament on the hearth and I turned around… I saw this black face staring at me from the little strip at the edge of the fire… I got such a fright… I jumped up and started hissing at it but it did the same thing back to me…. I must try this again another day and see if it is still there. Do you think it was waiting for me??

I found out what the other member of the household is. It’s a big black fluffy cat… play thing… cool! I will be able to play tricks on it as I get older! He doesn’t seem to like me much though…
