oh, I dont know about that... if a man is killed on a film I dont bat an eyelid. If a horse is killed, I cant sleep for thinking about the poor thing lol!

What I mean is some animals we eat, others we dont because they are cute

I'll eat just about anything

there's plenty of animals out there that would happily eat us given half the chance, but I'm sure if one tried you'd do your best to fight it off, even if that meant killing it...? I would say the same for a human-if I was violently attacked, I would do anything I could to help myself. Its all about survival I guess, and we as humans simply have the upper hand of knowledge to help us do that.
