Haven't read 48 but I have read 'Once', also an excellent book. Will definitely try and get it though as I enjoy his writing style.

Another author I like is John Grisham. He has an easy reading style. I find it an absolute pleasure reading his books.

I have laboured through many badly written books but unfortunately I have this one serious problem. I can't start another book until I have finished the book I started whether it is good or bad.

My friend is an excellent critic and I generally trust his judgement when choosing an author or book to read. It's only when I try new authors without asking him first that I have a problem.

I have never tried Shaun Hutson so I think I must really get hold of some of his books.

I like different authers for different things!!!!

Terry Pratchett for a damn good laugh with his Discworld novels.

Raymond E Feist
David Eddings for there sword & sourcery novels.

David Weber
Elizabeth Moon for the sci-fi novels.

Its hell on the pocket if they all bring out books at the same time .
