Default Childhood

Lots of things remind me of when i was a kid like when the skies a certain way during the day i think back 2 wot i'd be doin on a day like this? When i make stew the smell reminds me of cold days with all the family sat round arguing who was gettin which bowl b.coz it either had a larger dumpling or more meat! Snow reminds me of Xmas & remembering how excited we'd all get in the run up 2 it! & like some1 else said the smell of clorine.. i adored swimming when i was a kid i took 2 it like a duck 2 water. Passing certain places in my home town & remembering the good times with friends as a teenager. Certain songs take me back 2 the days of the youth club & the church disco.. & wot were thinkin in those days gone by? Wont it b great when we grow up

MadCat made me a lovely Apple Crumble, it was beautiful :!: Its the first time she has ever made it, I hope it isnt the last

It reminded me of my childhood as my Nan used to make it for me. Its my favourite dessert :!:

I'm with you on the apple crumble - it's amazing when it's done properly, and of course, I rather like rhubarb crumble too And M&S (sorry about the advertising) do some rather scrumptious plum and cherry mini crumbles - wonderful with extra thick double cream - my mouth's watering just thinking about it! =P~

I cannot handle the smell of southern comfort. I think it's because it made me retch repeatedly (damn underage drinking ).

The smell of chanel no5 always reminds me of my rich Aunt Bea (god rest her soul). She always wore it.

Remember - If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.

Moth balls brings back thoughts of my childhood, as my mother always had them in the wardrobe. She still uses them now but because I don't visit too often (mum and dad live in Portugal) it's really strange to smell them when I visit.

what brings my child hood memories back are the first rains ... the first time there is rainfall there is this smell - more of an aroma through sand ( the smell is called saundhi mehak in hindi ).. it reminds me of playing in rains and trying to make paperboats float in those heavy rains ... never worked out though ... stilll want to do that sometimes ...

Sometimes a similiar thing happens in the UK, its a fresh earthy plant smell (Its hard to describe).

It rains more frequently here so we tend to moan about it rather than make paper boats
