Electricity

We've had a power cut at Home for the last 5 hours (just come back up)
One of the Turbines at the Main Power station in South Africa (at Koeburg in the cape) apparently had a "controlled" shut down (whatever that is supposed to mean) early hours this morning... Eskom the (ONLY) supplier of electricity in the country has had to do load sharing throughout the country... they only expect to have the problem fixed by late next week, so they are going to cut power intermittently to major centres (for a few hours every day) for the next week... sheesh, talk about living in a third world country
