Does this sum up the big bang theory??? ;-)
I didn't necessarily say I beleived in the big bang theory, I said I believed in evolution... not one and the same thing....
Who is to say God/or a god did not design life to evolve?

All the techo's out there would love the Asimov short story "The Last Question".

If you've never read it, it's worth a look.

Well no actually, I DO beleive the Big Bang theory has a lot of merit , I was just pointing out to Hyno that the theory of Evolution and the Big Bang Theory and not one and the same thing...

Have a read of this article on Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang
It gives you a general overview,.
If you do a goole search on Big Bang, you'll find a lot of good information.
One word of advice tho, turn safe filtering on before searching....

If the scienciest say that everything we know today and in the future came frome the Big Bang.

My question is what started the Big Bang ? Was it God celebrating the creation of Adam and Eve ?

OK, how can they say that Adam & Eve had belly buttons in the painting ? Where they there with Adam & Eve to paint it ? If so that throws a spanner in the works

I think that this debate / discussion could go on for man (or woman) kind !!!

Daz

They actually aren't stating that... all they are saying is that the universe is expanding and that if they extrapolate the rate of expansion backwards, you would eventually get to the singularity or a single point of origin...that is how they estimate the age of the universe at +- 13.7 billion years

Good question... It could have been a god or a creator, on the other hand, and more likely, it may not have been... Man has always invented gods to explain things that they don't understand... The Vikings had a god called Thor because they didn't understand Thunder and Lightning... we find the concept of a thunder god ridiculous today...

My point exactly in my previous post somewhere in this thread...

I couldn't agree more... I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs as long as it harms no one else

I think that mans ability to fight over religion is a design fault that will eventually lead to our own extinction
