I think it depends why they are famous. If they are famous for a good reason and don't seek to increase their fame through media publicity then yes. Otherwise, no. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time! ;-)

Depends on the set-up. As a profit making company, I'm against the idea. As a means of information sharing, I'm for the idea, but the web has reduced the impact of this.

That's a no-brainer! (pun intended). Many names spring to mind ;-) It also depends on your definition of intelligence, but maybe you meant talented? I would call lots of celebrities talented, but very few intelligent.
