Honest beggar rewarded
This is a True Story from April 2006 A Mexican beggar who found a bag of jewellery in a dustbin returned it to its rightful owners. Alberto Gonzales, 48, found a bag containing five gold necklaces and four diamond rings in a bin in Mexico City. He returned it to the people who live in the building to which the bin belonged, reports Las Ultimas Noticias. It turned out that a man had hidden the jewellery in a plastic bag for safekeeping but did not tell his wife who threw it out. The couple thanked Mr Gonzales and gave him an undisclosed amount of money as a reward. Mr Gonzales said: "My parents taught me to be honest. I guess it paid off!" My question is would you have kept the jewellery or handed it back :?: Mike ... |

My luck it would've been costume jewellery (i cannot tell the difference) and it was meant to be thrown out. Then all I would get for my honesty is the owners laughing at me!
And if they were really real I will definitely get caught while trying to sell it! #-o My middle name is Murphy! So that is a 'return' for me! |

I would have kept it my point is: The owner of the jewellery didn't deserve to have it, they obviously didn't value it enough to keep it safe.

I was refering to Hyno's post never mind...
Thats true... very true... People should donate to that if they have spare money that they don't plan to do anything or they could plan a holiday to Africa to help them in person Good point... Even if this does come from someone who would have kept it! What WOULD you have done with your new-found money? (Stolen) |
