I watched a t.v show on dangerous animals in Australia (you know how obsessed I am with that place) They showed the Sydney Tunnel Web.

Looked really scary and mean to me. I still want to go of course, hasn't stopped me.

Although after watching it I did have a dream that I moved to Australia and on my first day I found a spide4r in my house and freaked out. I ran out of the house and had to ask my next door neighbour for help.

Good way to meet the neighbours tho

Yes, those funnel webs look horrible... they're not that big (in relation to some of the spiders you get here) but they are far more deadly...

The only 2 dangerous spiders that I know of that you get here are the Violin Spider and The Button Spider...

I actually felt my heart stop for a second when I scrolled down and saw that picture.

Can't believe that I can get scared by a photograph.

Well, I am a phobic but I've tried desensitise to myself over the last few years, so I'm really not as bad as I used to be...I can even touch a small spider these days (small is about the size of my thumbnail) BUT if anything bigger than that crawls on me, I scream like a girl

Speaking of desensitising..

I was slightly desensitised last year. I was at work and kept feeling what felt like a prickle in my sock. Eventually I had had enough and reached into my sock and pulled out a huntsman.

I was on the phone at the time and needless to say I yelled some profanity at the top of my lungs and through it across the room. I think I frightened the person on the phone almost as much as the damn thing scared me.

Oh... the prickle I had been feeling was it biting me and I had approx 15 bite marks on my foot. Luckily it was squashed and couldn's sink its fangs right in

I have an absolute fit when I see my cats chasing them and trying to eat them. The little one thinks its a game and purs it in her mouth and runs away with them. I'm scared they could be poisonous.

And being a receptionist, the last place I worked at, I had a snake greet me on my first day. I wasn't there for very long after that. So I really feel for you kaz !
