I worked in quality control for a dairy company.
I spent my days in a refrigerated warehouse unpacking 10% of every pallet of cheese to check that it was properly wrapped etc. I then had to repack it, glue the boxes back up and shrink wrap the pallets. I wonder why they didn't check it before it was originally packed, it was a very strange process now that I think about it...

I was an office junior when i finished school, lasted 8 months. I was working a 40 hour week (though i was out of the house 12 hours a day including travelling). I was earning £70 per week, which is £1.75 per hour, it cost me £15 in bus fairs every week and mum was taking £25 board off me, so i was left with just £30 per week after working full time. My mates who chose to go to college were getting that from the government just for turning up to their classes!!!! Needless to say i soon realised i'd made a rather big mistake! lol!

My first job was at 16 where I worked as a labourer on a farm. The company grew leeks, potatoes, cabbage, carrots etc Our job was to pick them, clean and pack them. I was very hard work and I was always cold, we did have a good laugh though, well sometimes
I hated picking leeks as the smell doesnt wash off very easily

When I was at school I had a job as a chamber maid in a big hotel in Harrogate. I had to catch the bus at 5:30am to start at 6am. I didnt last very long in that job!! I then worked in a local pizza takeaway.
When I finished my degree my first real job was working on a helpdesk rewriting and fixing bugs in UNIX code... BORING !!! MadCat

My first job was as a waitress in a beach front hotel in Exeter (does 6 days count
I then worked in a kilt hire shop. My job was valet. I was stuck in a back room with only a steam cleaner and a radio with 100-300 jackets to steam clean each day! I left because I had become braindead due to the repetiveness of the job.

Any connection between your reality and mine is completly coincidental
