I Really like to cook, especially love curries and spicy foods...
Does anyone have a favourite recipe that they enjoy cooking? Why not post it on here for the rest of us to try??? I'll start by posting my Chicken Curry recipe Chicken Curry Ingredients Serves 4 (Increase amounts for more servings) 1 onion, diced 3 tomatoes, diced 5 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (cut into strips or cubes) 2 tsp Crushed Garlic 2 tsp Crushed Ginger 2 tsp Crushed Chilli (add more chilli if you want it hotter) 2 tsp Garum Masala 2 tsp Paprika 1 tsp Tumeric Salt to taste 1 tin/carton Coconut Milk/Cream Chopped fresh Coriander leaves (+- 4 Tblsp) Method Heat oil in large saucepan on medium heat Add onion and cook until soft (+- 5 minutes) Add Chilli paste, Garlic and ginger and cook for another + -5 minutes stirring continuously Add Chicken and just seal the meat Add Masala, Paprika, Tumeric and Salt Cook for another +- 5 minutes stirring continuously Add tomatoes and stir in… Cook until sauce has been reduced to almost nothing stirring occasionally Add Cocnut Milk and chopped coriander leaves and cook until hot (+- 1 minute) Do not cook to much as coconut milk loses it’s taste If you like, sprinkle desiccated coconut over curry. Serve with Basmati Rice and Popadums

Mmmmm curry, Im hungry now
The only thing I can cook is toast: Ingredients: One slice of thick white bread Slightly salted butter (Welsh butter is best) Preperation: Turn on grill (gas grills are best) Cooking times: 2 to 5 minutes depending on how hot the grill thing gets Temparature: Fire is normally quite hot, best not to test with your finger. COOKING TIP: Use somebody elses Finger Cooking Instructions: Place bread under grill (thats the hot thing) Cook until golden brown, turn bread, cook other side until golden brown. Remove from grill (remembering to turn off gas) Spread thickly slightly salted butter on one side Eat! Serving suggestion: Best enjoyed with a big mug of strong tea (I'll create recipe instructions for that another day)

I thought that I'd help out those of you that dont know your way around a kitchen. I reckon that its mostly men that suffer from what I term kitchen dyslexia.
Ok here are my kitchen tips: The cooker is more than likely, the big thing with square windows and dials on the front. Dont confuse the cooker with the other big thing in the kitchen that has a round window. Im not quite sure what it is, but, I do know that its no good for warming up steak pies. Ive fiddled with all the dials on the round window thing, all it does is make a racket for 40 minutes and my pie turns out a soggy mess The other big think in the kitchen with no windows or external dials is brilliant at keeping beer cool, oh and it has a light on the inside that never goes out. I hope this info helps other kitchen dyslexics |
