Whats the worst injury that you have had? - Page 2

The worst I've hurt myself is from a Skateboarding Accident when I was 11...
I was pushing myself down a steep hill and got the heel of my foot caught in front of the wheel... I slid down the road on my side and took all of the skin off my entire right hand side, lost all of my toe nails on my right foot and 3 of my finger nails...
Touch wood, I have never broken a bone...

Well it was quite painfull at the time... I've still got a scar on my left hand little finger from a Different Skateboarding crash... but all my nails and skin grew back from the one below...
actually it's a wonder that anyone actually survives childhood...
used to do a lot of stupid things as a boy... like parachuting of the garage roof using a dustbin bag as a parachute...believe me, dustbin bags don't make very good parachutes and a garage roof is higher than it looks

I used to pile pillows at the bottom of the stairs, then jump on them from the top, quite stupid really

Well since I've joind this forum I've broken my pinki toe and fallen down the stairs

I've had a clumsy year.

I'd say the broken toe is my worst injury since it's the only bone I've ever broken but it wasn't the most painful.

When I was younger I was playing on a......Well actually I don't know what you'd call it. It had a tyre on each side for two people to sit on and the poles connecting these tyres came to a point. This meant that when the two people were sitting on it it not only went up and down like a see-saw but also round in circles. Don't think I've described this very well

Anyway my friend and I were happily spinning around when she decided to get off. Without her weight to balance me my tyre fell to the floor (with me sitting on top) trapping my foot underneath at an akward angle. A nurse on maturnity leave happened to be walking by and took me to hospital. Turns out it wasn't broken but I had to walk on crutches for a few weeks.

It did. My foot about doubled in size.

I was talking about this incident to my sister last night who reminded me that the hospital didn't give me any crutches. I'd completly forgotton how angry my mum was about that because I couldn't walk on it so had to stay off school

Of course I didn't mind

Although it was annoying having to hop everywhere until I could but weight on it again.

I guess it was.

I was reading back over everyone elses posts. Looks like you all had some adventerous childhoods. I never did anything dangerous. Guess I was a very sensible child
