Wow, that sounds excellent. Which track are you going to? I did my professional laps at the 3 Sisters Track in Wigan.
On sunday we are going to Preston. It was meant to be a surprise, but I blew it!! Mike hits the big 4-0 at the end of the month and my mum has bought him a helicopter flight. The nearest I could book it to his birthday was this sunday, so I booked it. The idea was I would get him up there on the idea of a nice trip out and pub grub, but to surprise the life out of him when his name is called out in the restaurant for the next flight.. however, I was so excited about it, that when he came home from work I blurted it out like a daft cow!!! So, I spoiled the surprise but he is still looking forward to it!! And best of all, monday off work after as it is a Bank Holiday, so no sunday spoiling thoughts of "OH I have to go to work tomorrow!". MadCat |

well what can i say! best weekend ever! It was a bit too cold for Dalby Forest, but we went and had our picnic anyway. Beautiful place-gotta go back when its a bit warmer so we can appreciate it a little more!
As for the rally driving, i did really well keeping it quiet. i set the sat nav tot he post code so after we left dalby he still didnt know where we were going! got there & when we pulled into the car park of the hotel he was like "cool! Rally cars!"-naively thinking that the owner of the place must have a bit of a thing for them! when i said he was going to be driving one in the morning he was dumn-struck! dont think he quite knew what to say! just kept smiling the rest of the night & shaking his head at me! Got up saturday morning & i was startin g to feel a bit guilty cos he looked really nervous, but once he got out there he was loving it! i got to have a high speed passenger ride with the instructor, which is a ride i will definately never forget! we're gonna be going back later in the summer so i can have a go at it too, felt quite left out by the end of the day so I want to play lol! Oh, n it was in Brotton in Cleveland. www.gorallyschool.co.uk fantastic place, fantastic people! dont think it would have been the same anywhere else, Chris Birbeck who owns it & the rest of the guys who help run it are all great people, really made it a day to remember! How was the helicopter ride? | ||||||||
