Whats your favourite Myth?

What is your favourite myth you have heard, ie something thatyou have heard is true, but is it really?

Like for instance, if you jump in a falling lift, would it really save your life?

Or if you drive faster on a bumpy road, you actually get a smoother ride?

Or driving with the window open v Air Conditioining- is it true that AC gives you more MPG?

I wonder if there are any myths out there that "Mythbusters" haven't already got their hands on? :?: Possibly the greatest show in the history of television

You watch Mythbusters ;-)

One of my favourites is that you cant use a mobile phone on a petrol forcourt. It seems that this is a myth :shock:

All of the myths you mention in the first post have been covered by Mythbusters.. what a top program!

They did the AC one last week, and it's more efficient to drive with the windows open than with the AC on... no surprises there then!!!

My favourite myth, that's a tough one.... :-k

I guess it's whether you're talking myths, old wives tales or conspiracies.

Favourite "conspiracy" - Roswell New Mexico Alien landing.
Favourite "old wives tale" - eating crusts makes your hair go curly.
Favourite "myth" - the Loch Ness Monster.
