Britain's most boring job?
A North Wales man has the most boring job in Britain - and says he loves it! Keith Jackson spends his days watching paint dry, reports the Daily Mirror. Mr Jackson, 57, stares at the surface for hours, occasionally prodding it with his finger to see how it's getting on. He explained: "It's particularly important. We made the paint for the floors of the London Underground. It could only be put on from 3am to 5am. "Once down it had to dry hard enough and fast enough for people to walk on." Mr Jackson is technical manager for Aquatic Coatings in Wrexham, North Wales. Director Anthony Kershaw said: "Drying speed is crucial. Keith times how long it takes." This made me wonder which member has to do the most boring things for their job  So people what is the most boring thing about your job?

I actually love my current job.
When I left school I worked in a refrigerated warehouse in quality control. It was my job to unpack 10% of every pallet of cheese to make sure they were sealed properly or not mouldy and then repack them. All day every day..

There was a shop in my home town that made cheese on the premesis. I hated going in there as the smell made me wretch :-? One of my very first jobs was a farm labourer, we gathered crops such as leeks, lettuce and cabbage from the fields. It was really hard work and mind numbingly boring, plus the leeks left you smelling like you had washed in onion flavoured soap. The smell was so hard to wash away Mike...

I had a part time job when I was in high school over weekends doing Quality Control in a Fibreglass factory... wasn't all that boring but was hard work as we had to lug around "Trucks" of reels of fibreglass strands and these things weighed about 200 - 300 kg's... then of course by then end of the day, your hands were full of shards of fibreglass... very itchy
The most boring thing about my current job is writing documentation... I'm a typical techie I'm afraid, love coding, but hate documenting it

The most boring thing about my job is organising the scheduled maintenance. I print out a schedule report, sort them into equipment numbers & days to perform then hand staple each group of schedules, put holes in the top and sort them into folders. Man it is boring.
When I was on shift work once we had a blackout and I did absolutely nothing for 12 hours. |
