Nutty_ZA is M-Net still around over there? And E-TV (I think that's what it was called)?

As sad as this may sound, I still miss Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives and Egoli

Yes E-TV and M-Net still going

Channels Available are
State Run : - SABC1, SABC2, SABC3
Independant : - E-TV, M-NET(Subscription)
M-NET is run by a company called Multichoice who run sattelite TV in South Africa (And broadcast throughout Africa)
There are +- 60 - 70 Sattelite channels AND STILL there is nothing much on to watch most nights

Are you originally from South Africa?

was born in Rhodesia (AKA Zimbabwe) moved to SA when i was 3 or something and about 5 years ago moved to the UK

I actually meant that M-Net was subscription... ETV is still free (that's 'cos it shows Films made anywhere between 1920 and 1980 nothing later than that)

My wife is from Zim originally too...

Nope it isn't ... but at least it's better than SABC... actually, don't watch TV too much if I can find something better to do (which I usually can)

I would imagine there are many many Zimbabweans living abroad... I cannot imagine anyone wanting to stay there anymore... sad really tho, since it's also a beatiful country...

i think by the time we moved (+/- early 80's) it was getting very bad. i remember my dad once telling me that we, my family and i, were going on holiday to Durban and there were queues of other ppl trying to get out of the country but we had to be escorted out by the army.

i agree it is beatiful and a shame that nothing can be done to get it on the right path again

If you want to keep up with SA News www.news24.com is a good South African news site... has a lot of intl news as well as local South African...

P.S. I hope I'm allowed to post links to other sites in here :?:

CNA is still there... not sure if Milky Lane is....

What did you used to do at CNA? I've been working here for the last 8 years, so may have even bumped into you and not known it
