I spoke to him this morning and he's feeling a lot better about things today...
sadly, this is the way of life in SA these days... It was a bit too close to home this time and all it's done tho is light a fire under my bum... I'm going to try and get out of here before the end of the year...

We'ew going to... The only 2 things holding us back were that my eldsest daughter(10) lives with her mum, so am probably going to have to leave her behind(although I'll fly her out at least twice a year on holidays)...
and I have a lot of credit card debt here but thinking about it, there is nothing stopping me paying the cards off when I am in England... I have to wait for 3 months after I resign to get my pension money paid out to me and then we'll leave...

Thinking of everyone else is the hardest thing to do.
Maybe you could convince your daughter in a few years (when she's old enough to decide for herself), to follow you guys across. I feel sorrowful for your circumstances Nutty. Just don't let that fire under your bum get so hot you put it out.

I woke up today with a really bad migraine. This is making me feel like I'm going to be sick. (My head feels like this
 keeps happening)I'm going home at 3pm and don't have to take it as sick (should that be in the 'what made you smile today?' thread?). I'll have to work the 4 hours back on Sunday 17th but I don't care I get to go home soon and tuck myself up in bed.
