It sounds like crime and criminals are only getting worse.

What ticks me off is the lack of compassion that you get from the police. Couldn't find them, BAD LUCK !

I have a new job as a cleaner and I am sore all over. Muscles, bones and nerves in my back are all sore. If the job doesn't ease up I may have to leave it.

I don't think I'm cut out for this.

The crime situation is quite bad but there are other reasons as well...
Unfortunately, and I don't blame the current govrnment for this, the policy of Affirmative Action means that as a White Male, I have no chance of getting another job, my children probably won't have either.
The current Health Minister is trying to Nationalise the private Health Sector, a move which has prompted 65% of Doctors to state that they will leave the country if this happens... even after that, she is insistant that she will continue with this policy...
South Africa's next President, Jacob Zuma, is at worst a Criminal (he is currently being prosecuted on charges of fraud and corruption) and at the very least, a complete idiot (having stated during his rape trial of a HIV+ woman that he took a shower to prevent infection)...
The Leader of the ANC Youth league, stated during a Rally on Monday (National Youth day in SA) that they are ready to take up arms and kill for Jacob Zuma if he is even prosecuted.
We have constant power outages due to Load Shedding
The interest Rate has just hit 17% and is still climbing
The petrol Price goes up every month and the price has literally doubled in the last 2 years
Service delivery levels have gone done and we have rubbish and litter all over the pavements
There is someone begging at literally every traffic light you stop at (I am not exagerating)
The list goes on and on...

And I was feeling sad today because I'm putting on weight despite my walking home from work each night (it's roughtly 2 miles).

Ah, the eternal cry from a lady!!!! We can't win can we, we have to eat to live and eating puts on weight and we want to hide away!! Never mind, don't worry about it too much..

Just listened to the Sunsceen Song by Baz Luhrman and one of the lines in it was "You look at a picture of yourself 20 years ago and you wonder what you worried so much about. You were not fat"

What's really odd is that I was planning on putting the Baz Luhrman song into the "music for moods" thread. I Love that song and actually listened to it this morning.

Poor Mike! I sympathise. I'm not feeling so great either.

Looks like my sinisus are playing up again. In the last 2 years I've suddenly started having flare ups. They just seem to get blocked. I've been sneezing lots over the past few days. The air conditioning at work doesn't help. Of course because they're blooked they also swell putting pressure on my nose and behind my eyes.

It's nothing major but is a huge annoyance.
