yeah mayo did it for me too. I loved coddle ( dublin white stew) irish stew etc...i couldn't eat them either, coleslaw did it too. but sometimes when i was really well I used to have them in moderation.
the only thing I found I couldn't drink was too much cider it can affect your stomach. I used to avoid too much fibre stuff because sometimes that can aggriviate it. You will get used to it. It's not so bad. Sometimes you can be sick or feel really icky and tired for a month but as soon as you get a blast of steroids you will as right as rain. Always an ear here...sorry pardon the pun...Onwards and Upwards.

Thanks Hellcat, it's always nice to know you can speak to someone that suffers the same as you....

I hope you get the results soon madcat.
I have hiatus hernia and ulcers. The first thing off my food list was garlic. Love the stuff, yet the pain afterwards would make me scream. Now I can't eat anything acidic, such as tomatoes, oranges, any form of soda's, onions, the list just goes on. It takes a lot of time to figure out what sets internal pain off. Wish you all the best anyway.

Today, for the 5th consecutive work day I've called for results of an MRI scan I had 12 days ago on my back - this time I've been told they are back, but are with the doctor for comment and could I ring back tomorrow! I am now in my 10th week of pain (sciatica) and just want someone to tell me how to stop it! So that has made me extremely sad today

Thanks Madcat - hope they sort you out soon too - I have a friend with Crohns and it's not the nicest thing in the world, but at least they can control it these days to a degree.

Thank you ! I think drugs and a controlled diet will be the way I have to go!
As for the back, hope it gets sorted. I have 3 slipped disks and a straight spine so I understand all about back pain! There is nothing worse when it is bad. Have you tried a TENS machine? They help a lot of people (didn't work for me). I also use a heat lamp which I got from Amazon (see link below) and it works wonders on my back when I cant have injections. Hope it helps. MadCat

I've tried the TENS machines before - they work for my other half, but not for me, which I find extremely unfair!
I'm hoping the results of the MRI will give them something to work with in terms of getting me relevant physio or something - although by the time they've worked it out I'll probably be better! Although I have suffered from a back pain on and off for over 30 years, this is the worst ever - a trapped nerve is NOT to be recommended as it's not just your back it's your leg and foot too that gets in on the party Here's hoping we're both feeling loads better really, really soon.
