The working week

Okay who decided that the working week had to be Monday to Friday? Why can't it be Saturday and Sunday :?:

I dont stay at home watching day time tv. i work 8 to 5.30. although we do have a tv in the kitchen.

But i was off sick on tuesday and nearly went mad. I'd rather be in work were i get loads of sympathy from people.
