I certainly did watch the F1, it was full of incidents. My first reaction to Kubicas crash was "Wow that was impressive", then when they showed it again from a different angle I felt quite sick. He hit that wall so hard! I was pretty convinced that his eyes where on the dashboard somewhere and that he was fatally injured. Ive just checked the ITVF1 site and they say that he has escaped injury and may well be released from hospital today (It was initially reported that he had broken a leg).
As for Hamilton, WOW I was impressed. I think the world should stop reffering to him as rookie now, how does that saying go, "When you can keep your head when all those around you are loosing theirs, then my son, you will be a man". Bet the heat is on Fernando, he doesn't like loosing at the best of times. I was happy for Heidfeld, I had a feeling that BMW would do well :-) I was also pleased to see a Williams on the poduim I had to laugh at Massa he was black flagged for leaving the pit lane when a red light was shown (As was somebody else). Great Race :-) Mike... |

Thankfully Kubica is OK ... luckily (doesn't it become gladiatorial if he had been hurt badly - and then where do we stand as spectators - enough philosophy).
What about Sato ... magnificent overtake on Alonso on the penultimate lap! Because of the poor showing of Ferrari wasn't it good to see the guys who normally make up the 'also rans' to the fore! On the black flags ... they both drove past Kubica who was waiting for the light to change - no justice! For me the most exciting race this season ... by some way. |

I must admit to still feeling sick about the Senna crash.
I think is he had have been hurt all those spectators who were craning to get a better view would have felt a bit guilty for their voyeurism. It goes to show all the good work the FIA do in the background with the safety crash tests on all cars.. . I bet Kubica is glad they did it!!! It was like when Panis broke his legs a few years ago and everyone was quiet as they thought he was seriously injured... everybody is relieved to see he is OK, but some quietly dissapointed that there was no more drama... Risk is part of their job but crashes like that are few and far between thankfully.. and they all know the risks when they sign up.... I was well chuffed with the result of the race. I created an account on Betfair before the race to bet that Casey Stoner will win the MotoGP championship. I'm not normally a betting person, but I have a feel about this one.. I also bet on Lewis and Heidfeld to finish on the podium for Sundays race so I was extremely happy as I won £17 !!!!!! Beginners luck there I think !!! MadCat
