Benitez's experimental line-up back-fired spectacularly
Manager Rafael Benitez apologised to Liverpool supporters after watching the Reds humbled in the Carling Cup 6-3 at Anfield by a young Arsenal team.
A stunned Benitez said: "It is a bad night for us and all we can say is sorry to the supporters.

"Now is not the time to point the finger or look to blame people. We win together and we lose together.

"We must forget about it as soon as possible and look ahead to Watford on Saturday and the Champions League."

I watched the match on TV, as a neutral(although I was supporting Liverpool being a Spurs supporter) was very entertaining...

According to the commentator, Liverpool hadn't conceded 5 goals at home since the 1930's... then Arsenal scored again, soooo not too sure when the last time Liverpool conceded 6 at home, who knows, could possibly be their worst defeat at home ever....

Have to say tho, that Gerrards goal was aan absolute stunner

I didnt watch the game, I heard the result this morning whilst brushing my teeth. I was so surprised I nearly poked my self in the eye with my toothbrush :shock:

I believe that Liverpool played very badly
