Let's run a poll to see who everyone thinks will win this year's cricket World Cup

Although after the embarrising defeat to Austrailia in the Ashes I'm still going to pick England just because I have a little faith left

I would love to say England (being an ex pat) and now that Michael Vaughn has returned, you never know... I somehow doubt it tho... England always manage to under perform
I did vote for South Africa, having lived in SA for a long time and being a fan... but somehow I doubt whether they're good enough either... Sadly, on their current form, it will (and I really hate to say this) probably be Australia

I reckon Australia. We are red hot at the moment.

Think this needs a bump now the World Cup has started.
Watched all the matches so far and looking forward to England playing today (in the office with my england shirt on at the moment) and I hope we get of to a good start. I watched the Ireland match yesterday and I was really impressed with the Irish team and how well they played. Something I have picked up in the all the games so far is how shoddy the fielding has been, already we have lots of dropped catches and players trying to either catch or stop the ball one handed and letting it slip though. Its been a good start to the competition and I hope it continues in the same way. Norrec |

I would love to say England but I'm not sure.
I think Australia will be there and I think the West Indies will do well and with the home support they could do well. I would love it to be Australia vs England though Norrec |

Well....my tips for the Super 8s are Australia & South Africa, New Zealand and England, West Indies & Ireland, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh. (No Pakistan, no India) From those I'll tip Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand to make the semis, and then the Black Caps to beat the Proteas in the final.
